⚽️ A very positive start to the season for Etwall Fire!

A great performance from all the lads in our first game back. They worked hard from start to finish. The second half was a very even playing field with it looking like it was going to end a draw but a last minute goal saw Fire come out on top to celebrate a fantastic win 👏

We had a few lads playing in different positions as we continue to work out what suits each player and what works best for the team as a whole. Lots of positives to take from the game!

It was also great to see Harrison settle into the team for his first game as a Fire player. And what a way to announce yourself! 🔥 two goals and one being one hell of a goal that will certainly be hard to beat for Goal of the Season! ⚽️

And we are back! Looking the business in our new kits!

Came into the first league game of the season without any practice at all, and we were definitely a little rusty!

Went in at half time 1-0 up after a decent first half, but five mad minutes immediately after half time left us behind, and despite the efforts from the lads, we couldn't get back on level terms. Damage largely self-inflicted, but we'll learn from it!

⭐️ Player of the match ⭐️ Ellis, smashing effort especially given he only got home from holiday in the middle of the night! Brave throughout and worked hard on his distribution. Well done!

As another fantastic season comes to an end, Etwall Rams celebrated in the best possible way with our Annual Team Awards and Summer Sports Day – a day full of smiles, laughter, friendly competition and well-deserved recognition.

Throughout the season, every player has shown incredible commitment, determination and teamwork. From rainy training sessions to weekend matches, each child has grown in confidence, developed new skills and, most importantly, enjoyed being part of a brilliant team. Success isn’t just measured by results on the pitch, but by the friendships made, the resilience shown and the positive attitude displayed by every single player.

Our Annual Team Awards gave us the opportunity to celebrate those achievements, recognising not only outstanding performances but also effort, improvement, sportsmanship and dedication. Every player should be incredibly proud of what they have accomplished this season. Special mentions go out to:

Players player of the season- Toby
Coaches player of the season- Jake

The celebrations continued with our Summer Sports Day, bringing together players, families and coaches for an action-packed afternoon. With exciting races, fun challenges and plenty of laughter, it perfectly captured what Etwall Rams is all about – creating an inclusive, supportive and enjoyable environment where everyone can get involved. Red Rams hotdogs came out on top…will they retain their trophies next season?!

A huge thank you goes to our amazing coaches, volunteers and parents whose time, encouragement and commitment make grassroots football possible. Without their support, none of this would happen.

A special shout out to Dough Capo for keeping us fuelled up with their amazing pizzas!

As one season ends, we’re already looking forward to the next. Congratulations to every Etwall Rams player on a fantastic year – enjoy the summer, keep practising, and we’ll see you all back on the pitch ready for another brilliant season! ⚽🏆💙 over and out from a very soggy Jack and Dougal 💦

🏆 Trophy alert 🏆

Superb performances from the team today to close our season with victory in the Gold Cup at Rocester Football Club tournament! Won all seven games along the way, without conceding a single goal.

Very proud of how they pulled together as a team to get the job done. After the disappointment of semi-final and final defeats in our previous tournaments, it was great to see them get over the line!

Great afternoon at Etwall's inaugural summer tournament. The Rams finished runners up in a closely fought competition. A strong performance in the final saw us concede early, but dominate the rest of the game in the attempt to mount a comeback. The opposition held strong and it wasn't to be this time, but we're proud of the lads for another deep run in a tournament. They played some great stuff and had a great day in the ☀️! Well done Rams!

A big well done also to our tournament organisers - it is not easy to set up and run a brand new tournament, but Patrick, Lewis, Dave and the team did an incredible job on the day - ran like clockwork. Well done and thank you!

Etwall Rams U11s Tournament Report

Etwall Rams U11s produced an outstanding display at today's Hatton Tournament, finishing top of Group A and progressing to the Cup Semi-Final after an excellent unbeaten group-stage campaign.

The Rams started strongly with a hard-fought 1-0 victory over AFC Mackworth Storm before following up with an impressive 3-1 win against Barton Rovers Dinos. Another disciplined performance saw Etwall overcome Hatton United Yellows 1-0 before a tightly contested 0-0 draw against Tutbury Tigers.

The momentum continued as the Rams secured a 1-0 victory over MFCJ Milan and another 1-0 win against Rolleston Green. Their final group game saw Etwall produce one of their best performances of the day, defeating Stapenhill Swans White 2-0.

The results meant Etwall finished top of Group A with an impressive record of six wins and one draw from seven matches, collecting 19 points and conceding just one goal throughout the group stage. Their defensive organisation, teamwork and determination were evident throughout the tournament, with the team consistently finding ways to win close matches.

In the Cup Semi-Final, Etwall faced Stapenhill Swans White for a place in the final. Despite another committed and spirited performance, the Rams were narrowly defeated 1-0, bringing an end to a fantastic tournament run.

While the semi-final result was disappointing, the team can be immensely proud of their achievements. Finishing as Group A winners and reaching the Cup Semi-Final is a testament to the players' hard work, resilience and excellent attitude throughout the day.

We also say goodbye to one of our OG's Harry B. The team will miss you Harry, good luck in all of your future football endeavours!! All in all a fantastic effort from everyone involved today and a tournament to be proud of. Well done, Rams!

The season might be over but Etwall Rams are keeping busy! Last night some of the lads tried out Futsal for the first time at ! They adapted to it well and scored some cracking goals on the way to a 12-2 win.

Futsal is fast and technical, and requires teamwork and quick decision making. The boys had lots of fun and we'll definitely do a few more of these over the next couple of months to help us sharpen our skills!
