Durham Roller Derby Founded 2014 - Women's Flat Track Roller Derby team based in Durham, UK

Durham Roller Derby was formed in February of 2014 – all of its members strive to absorb everything Roller Derby, and to do so they regularly attend boot-camps, mixed scrims and anything else skate related. We hold regular Tryouts and are constantly growing and developing our League, and have been part of the British Roller Derby Championships since 2016.

Don't forget we're opening our doors this Sunday for our next new intake.

Don't worry if you've never skated before, or if you don't have any kit. There will be plenty of friendly faces to keep you upright, and we have lots of kit ready for you to borrow.

We had a blast yesterday up in Edinburgh playing one of our closest neighbours Newcastle Roller Derby UK Whippin' Hinnies! Our second game of this 5 Nations season.

We may not have walked away with the win, but judging by these photos we definitely had fun!

Thank you Auld Reekie Roller Derby for hosting such a brill derby packed day. We will see you on track very soon!

❄️ YOU BETTER RUM-BLE CUP RETURNS! ⚓️

Together with Newcastle Junior Roller Derby UK we will be putting on our second You Better Rum-ble Cup in memory of our dear friend, coach and skater Suzie 'You better Rum' Frost.

The Frost Bites and the Rum Runners will be taking to the track again to battle it out for the RUM-ble Cup in a junior scrim and an OTA scrim! There will be cakes, ducks, merch AND a Roller Disco to top it all off 🪩

Today we are remembering Suzie on her birthday.

Suzie, better known as #1408 You Better Rum, truly loved roller derby! Whether she was on track playing in 5 Nations games, off track cheering everyone on, or even coaching the newest generation of skaters at , her love for this sport was clear to see.

Last year we joined forces with Newcastle Juniors to put on the first ever YOU BETTER RUM-ble Cup in memory of our #1408, and what a day it was! It brought together Suzie's friends, family, teammates and skaters she had mentored. We were all there to play derby, have fun, and most importantly remember Suzie!

We wish you were here to skate with us Suzie.

Sending all our love to Suzie's wonderful family and friends.
