🚨🚨 Unfortunately today we draw the curtain on the club after many years of running starting off The Commercial we then moved about a bit to the Ox then Ball Alley before we found our home at Oak Tree where we lay some great foundations of historically been team that many didn’t enjoy playing against (all within the laws of the game some laws from 1960 and some more recent)…
We have had a great run at it with some top top lads playing for the club, we have all forged great friendships and albeit not a great league run last year we made back to back finals over the last two seasons missing out on silverware last year after a hard fought draw with Greenside then losing on penalties however that said we put that right last season as we played the cup final few weeks back which followed suit with a draw full time before we took home the trophy beating East Stanley on pens 🏆😍
Today however we have been faced with a decision which was difficult given the history of the club and the overall commitment we have showed, we just felt given injuries which was up to 7 at last count along with aging players and a mix of some unreliability we came to a decision that it would be best to go out on the highs of winning the cup instead of dragging out the inevitable.
We have had some battles over the years but wish all our lads and other clubs especially in the Consett Sunday league the best of luck, urging young lads to get involved in local community football to save this happening to their club to try keep local grassroots alive.

Lastly thanks to all those who have supported and hated us as you all spurred us on 💪🏻

Lost for words, the heart they showed was another level and trust us East Stanley made us work for it. Hats off to their lads humble in defeat 👏🏻

🚨 Tonight sees us in last seasons cup final as we go to take on last seasons league champions East Stanley WMCFC, history tells us that August/September is always a challenge due to holidays and weddings. Tonight is no different limited players and no Gaz but that said we’re never one to shy away, we will go out aiming to bring home the trophy 💪🏻

🚨🚨⚽️🏆 We’re running a sweepstake ahead of the Euros starting Friday 💰 just a bit of fun so won’t break the bank plus looking at the odds you’ll get a better return on the big boys for your money 😉

Congrats to our midfield maestro Joe Caisley on his back to back Division 1 player of the season award 😍 not the season we wanted but week in week out Joe has showed what he’s about 👏🏻
On announcements the club and all the lads pass on their congratulations to another top performer who’s also had a great season but this time off the field where Jack Franklin and his partner Megan who become first time parents last week 👶🏼💜

Wet morning for it this morning but the lads played their first game in weeks, took us 10 minutes to get in the game allowing the Sun Inn a cheap penalty but after that limited their chances and should’ve been 5/6 in the end but nice 3-1 win progressing to semi final where we face Consett Steel Club at home.
To a man the lads all stepped up and played well but mentions on the day goes to scorers Jack Franklin and Lewis Lumley x2.
MOTM went to Ste Wilson 👏🏻
Jack Watson stotting like but gave them the run around all day so selectors MOTM 💪🏻
