Another week, another top talent through the Joe Cardle Academy doors.

Jack Allan joined Joe this afternoon as he continues his off-season work in preparation for another successful campaign with Celtic Under-17s. Last season, Jack enjoyed an excellent year, earning regular game time, helping his side keep numerous clean sheets, and even scoring an impressive 16 goals from a defensive position — highlighting both his attacking threat and all-round quality.

Today’s session focused on the fundamentals of moving the ball quickly, improving reaction speed, and developing his ability to feed midfielders and strikers with accurate long-range passing.

We were incredibly impressed with Jack’s quality, attitude, and application throughout the session, and we look forward to working with him more as he prepares for another big season ahead.

Massive congratulations to Ethan Sinclair, who won our recent competition by correctly predicting both the first goalscorer and the result of the Scottish Cup Final! 🏆👏

Ethan predicted Daizen Maeda as the first goalscorer and a 3–1 victory for Celtic FC — an incredible prediction!

While it wasn’t the result many Dunfermline Athletic FC supporters were hoping for, it was still a fantastic day for everyone involved.

As his prize, Ethan received the Scottish Cuppa, created by our friends at Scottish Gas⁠ — a fantastic piece of memorabilia and one that’s definitely worth holding on to.

Huge well done, Ethan, and thank you to everyone who took part ⚽️🙌🏼

It was an absolute pleasure to welcome back Liam Parker for a session yesterday.

Liam has been training with the Joe Cardle Academy during each of the last three off-seasons. Following another successful campaign with Cove Rangers, the central defender is once again using the Academy to stay sharp and focus on key defensive aspects of the game, ensuring he hits the ground running ahead of another season in Scottish League One.

Day 1 of the summer holidays and these two are already putting in the work with a dedicated 1:2 session with Joe Cardle.

It’s safe to say it’s been a hugely successful season for this pair after both going on loan to Spartans from Hearts Women. Last week they finished top of the league and secured promotion to SWPL 1, before celebrating again yesterday as their Hearts teammates lifted the league title.

These girls are an absolute credit to themselves and true role models for the younger girls within the academy. Their attitude, dedication, and commitment — matched with their ability — are the perfect recipe for success ⚽️🙌🏼

It was an absolute pleasure to welcome Emily Tomb back on Friday for a dedicated session with Joe after a long spell out through injury following a broken collar bone back in February.

Emily had surgery on her collar bone and has only recently returned to contact-free training. During the session, Joe focused on small area training, touch, passing, and reaction work to help build her confidence and sharpness back up gradually.

Emily’s attitude and mentality throughout her recovery continue to be outstanding, and she is already looking forward to next season.

We look forward to welcoming you back again on Friday Emily ⚽️🙌🏼
