A good week for the Dynamos. Since the start of the year, on a Monday evening, we have a new training session for our league players and 18 of them joined us on Monday night.

On Wednesday morning, another record turnout of 36 players turned up for recreational football. This meant that we were able to have 6 teams of 6, with interchangeable games being played. We also took time out to congratulate Tam Moffats superb win as Dunfermline and West Fife Sports Council Senior Sports Person Award.

Let's see what Tuesday brings as the Over 70's team head to the Oriam for their first league games of this year. Watch this space. 👍⚽️

Another nice start to the week for the Dynamos. On Tuesday Evening, we attended Dunfermline and West Fife Sports Council Awards Night where our oldest player Tam Moffat won The Senior Sports Person Award. More details of that next week.

Then on Wednesday morning, we had 30 players, 2 teams of 8 & 2 teams of 7 all competing against each other in our normal recreational slot. Coffee with a bacon roll was on offer after the game.

However, not being satisfied by that, later in the afternoon, some of us went to the Ballroom Pool & Snooker hall, where we had beer, pool, but NO CHIPS 😭 this time.

And of course, by the end of the Afternoon, there was the usual hot air by some about who had won the most games. 😲😁🤣

Let's just say, Tam was a winner on both Tuesday night and Wednesday afternoon.

The Dynamos are not just about walking football, but our social entertainment is another part of who we are.

Next outing is on Tuesday 24th March when we will have a Petanque competition run by the inimitable John Dryburgh.

Don't sit in the house, get yourselves down to Pitreavie Sports and Soccer Centre on either a Wednesday morning from 10 to 11, or Thursday night from 8 till 9pm. 1st session is free. Men 50 & over, ladies, 40 & over. Hopefully see you soon. Just message us in advance to say you'll be coming along. 👍⚽️

What an incredible start to 2026 we have had. Our team of recreational players as well as our league teams just go from strength to strength.
We had 63 regular players at the start of the year. Then 4 more signed up in January, and another 2 so far in February.

Today, was a record for us. We had 30 players down at Pitreavie this morning for a recreational session, whilst 12 of our players were over at the Oriam for our over 60's league games. And didn't they do us proud. History is being made with the Dynamos and as you can see from the results, we are siting in 2nd place in the Premiership after our first 4 games this year.

And this is after our 50's team magnificently topped the Championship League earlier this month.

We are also proud to announce that one of our players, Tam Moffat has been nominated for an award at Dunfermline and West Fife Sports Council awards night on Tuesday 24th February to be held in the new Dunfermline Learning Campus. Good luck Tam. 🤞👍

All of this couldn't have been achieved without the support from a great band of people who make up our committee, Pitreavie Sport & Soccer Centre our 4 year sponsor Jamie Galloway of UKMC, our team coaches and trainers (you know who you are) 😁👏👏👏

And of course, we don't just play football, we will be planning this year's social activities very soon. We're hoping to add to last year's events which were social nights at Pitreavie Golf Club, Pool sessions at the Ballroom, Petanque session in Charleston
and a quiz night incorporated into our AGM.

Finally, look out soon for details of both our tournament in May and some Invitational tournament's later in the year.

Fancy joining us? Get yourself down to Pitreavie on a Wednesday morning 10 till 11 or on a Thursday night 8 till 9pm.
Only thing we ask, is that you let us know in advance if you intend to come along. 👍⚽️

DUNFERMLINE DYNAMOS STATEMENT

It is with no small degree of sadness that after a period of more than 4 happy years, our main sponsor during that period, Jamie Galloway of UKMC massage chairs, has informed the Dynamos that unfortunately that sponsorship will be ending with immediate effect. Jamie Galloway has played a big part in the foundation of Dunfermline Dynamos and he said that it was with a heavy heart that this decision had been taken but wished the Dynamo's and all its players the very best for a successful future.Jamie is also registered as a player and has also sponsored our UKMC Invitational Tournament for which we are eternally grateful. In return the Dynamo's wish to express our sincere and grateful thanks to Jamie for everything he has done in helping to establish the club on a very sound footing within the world of Walking Football Scotland and wish both he, his family and UKMC all the very best for a prosperous and successful future with an open invite to visit the Dynamo's at anytime in the future where he will always be assured of a warm welcome".
