Wednesday.

I've already spent part of today sorting out the events calendar for the month ahead and honestly…

We’ve got some absolute corkers coming up.

Speaking of which…

🏃‍♀️ The Pour House Runners are out tonight.

And before anyone says, “I’m not really a runner”…

Neither were most people when they started.

This isn’t a closed club. It’s not about pace, lycra, or personal bests.

It’s about getting out, moving a bit, meeting people, and having a laugh along the way.

Run, jog or walk.
Come every week or just give it a try.

Nobody gets left behind.

Meet from 6pm.
Head out at 6.30pm.

And if running really isn’t your thing, the bar is open from 4–9pm, so you can still join the social side of things afterwards. 🍺

Well…

Here it is.

Devizes’ smallest (but possibly most perfectly formed) beer garden ☀️🍻

Ever since I opened The Pour House, I’ve wanted us to have a little bit of outside space somewhere people could sit with friends, enjoy a proper drink, and make the most of days exactly like this.

And now… we finally do.

We (officially) opened it last night and honestly, seeing people sat out there with a pint in hand made me ridiculously happy.

It’s not huge.
But then neither is the bar.

And that’s kind of the point really.

We’ve never tried to be the biggest. We’ve just tried to create somewhere warm, welcoming and full of good things to drink.

This little courtyard is exactly the same.

A quiet pint in the sunshine.
A catch up with mates.
Dogs stretched out under the benches.
Cold beer. Warm weather. No rush.

Perfect.

There’s still more to come and we’ll keep adding bits of love to it over the next few weeks, but it’s officially here and ready for you to enjoy.

And honestly, the timing could not have worked out better. The weather has absolutely understood the assignment ☀️

So if you’re wondering how to spend the start of a bank holiday weekend…

You’ve just found your answer.

Clubman of the Year ✨

So many people have worked their asses off both on and off the pitch this season, but this award could only go to one person, our coach, Abi 🤍

Behind every good team is a great coach, and Abs has been exactly that.

No matter the circumstances, she showed up week after week, coaching, motivating, screaming from the sidelines, lifting spirits and giving absolutely everything she had to this team. This season brought challenges she never expected, but even on the days where she felt she had nothing left to give, she still gave us her all.

She continued to grow as a coach, found positives in the toughest moments, and never stopped believing in the team, even when things weren’t going our way.

This team is better because of you, Abs.

A hugely deserved award and a massive thank you for everything you’ve done this season. We can’t wait to do it all again next year 👏✨

A huge congratulations to our Best Newcomer and Most Improved Player of the Season ✨

Best Newcomer goes to Charli 👏
From day one, Charli has thrown herself into everything with 100% effort and a smile from ear to ear. Week after week she developed, grew in confidence and completely thrived in her first season with us. To top it all off, she trialled for Dorset & Wilts and earned herself County selection, an exceptional achievement and so well deserved!

Most Improved goes to Georgie 🔥
An absolute joy to watch every Sunday. Game by game, Georgie has impressed us with her confidence, tackling and growing understanding of the game. The progress she’s made this season has been unreal, and if this is just the beginning… next season is going to be HOTTTT 👀

Massive congratulations to you both, so deserved and so exciting to see what’s next 🖤

A huge congratulations to our Coaches Player and Players Player of the Season - Chelsea Butler & Sophie Spillane ✨🪩

Two players who bleed for the shirt and never stop working for the team.

Spillane has been unstoppable this season, one of the league’s top try and point scorers, while Butler has made a habit of ripping the ball back and dominating the breakdown. If turnovers had an official stat sheet, she’d top that too.

Massively deserved for both of you. An unreal achievement 👏

Now go and kick the ass out of County this afternoon 💥
