A bit of monkeying around, getting inked and trying something new (don’t judge the Thuay Boxing it was my first ever go 😂)

Throwback to a trip to Thailand earlier this year 🇹🇭

Still training, still eating well but allowing myself to let go a little and enjoy things outside of fitness.

You can have your fitness goals but they don’t need to be your whole identity. Fitness goals are there to enhance your life not become your whole life.

Go out and achieve your goals but it’s don’t forget it’s important to go out and live your life too💫

You deserve a fitness approach that doesn’t destroy you 👇

I love fitness but in some cases the culture can be toxic-I fell for it and when I first started training and I’ll tell you one thing-I got far better results when I dropped these traits:

• Punishing yourself in the gym
• Earning your food with exercise
• Hating your body into changing
• Sacrificing your mental health for abs

It doesn’t work!

You deserve an approach that actually ADDS to your life instead of draining it.

Here’s the alternative approach which is not only going to get you better results but allow you to enjoy the journey and feel good along the way 👇

• Respecting your body and the gym as self care
• Your worth NOT being based on the number on the scale
• Movement you enjoy
• Celebrating progress at every stage and not having shame around where you start-everyone starts somewhere!

To get sustainable results you need to drop the toxic thought processes of extreme fitness rhetoric. Life is too short to loathe yourself, be miserable and feel frustrated not getting anywhere.

I spent YEARS wondering why some weeks I felt invincible in the gym and others my warm up sets felt like PBs 😩

Turns out my body was literally telling me what it needed—I just wasn’t listening.

Your menstrual cycle isn’t something to “push through” or ignore. It’s information. And when you learn to work WITH it instead of against it, training becomes so much easier.

This doesn’t mean skipping workouts or using your period as an excuse. It means being strategic about when you push for PRs (follicular phase), when you focus on technique (early luteal), and when you programme a lighter session or reload (late luteal).

I track my cycle in my training now, and it’s changed everything. No more guilt about “off days.” No more confusion about why my strength fluctuates. Just smart, sustainable programming that respects my biology.

If you’ve ever felt like your body is working against you in the gym, start tracking your cycle. Stop punishing yourself for your body’s natural rhythm and start working with your hormones to maximise your gains!
