🚨Why Some Players Keep Moving Forward.
One of the hardest lessons in youth football is learning that effort is not equal.
Some players will do the minimum.
Some players will do exactly what the coach asks.
And some players will consistently do more.
Not because they’re the most talented.
Not because they’re forced to.
But because their standards are different.
The biggest difference between young players isn’t always ability.
It’s how much they care about improving.
How often they practise when nobody is watching.
How willing they are to listen, learn, and accept coaching.
How determined they are to respond after mistakes and setbacks.
The biggest mistake coaches and parents make is expecting every player to have the same hunger.
They don’t.
Some want to play football.
Some want to become footballers.
The players who progress furthest are usually the ones whose standards stay high long after the session ends.
