How often should you get a sports massage?

This is a question that I get asked often, and the answer depends on the individual. Everybody is different and responds differently to sports massage.

✨ Weekly or at least bi-weekly massage is recommended for clients who have a lot of tightness in their muscles - symptoms of pain / ni**les: until the tension in the muscles starts to ease.

✨ Monthly maintenance massage – to keep the body ni**le free and prevent it going back to its former tight state or to improve the level of tension in the body.

✨ For people that exercise regularly (3-4 times a week), having a sports massage every 2-4 weeks keeps you performing at your best.

Sports massage is an incredibly valuable tool for people who are involved in fitness to enhance their training.

However, SMT treatments also have great benefits for people who don’t train regularly or spend hours in the gym. In fact, poor posture and sitting for extended periods is a very common cause of tight muscle and build of tension often results in painful areas within muscle fibres.

Massage treatments improve circulation, flush out waste products and encourage muscle to move freely again which is beneficial for anyone, not just β€œathletes”.
