Congleton Harriers is a running club welcoming all forms of running: from social to racing.

Ash has led the search for a new kit supplier for the club and has successfully found a new supplier of a new range of vests and t-shirts which club members are delighted with. He has also negotiated with Running Bear for them to take over the stock management and sales of the vests, which takes a big load off the club. He also was the main organiser of the very well received kit launch at Running Bear on Monday July 27th. He is a worthy winner of the HotM award for July.

So congratulations to Ash, a very worthy winner of the July award!

Richard’s running has gone from strength to Strength, his Marathon time was incredible, he came 3rd at the cloud summer. He’s also hit numerous 5k PB’s recently. He is a regular at parkrun pacing and marshalled at Passing Clouds.

It's not just club runs and races you will see our members attending. Yesterday we were fortunate to be invited to organise the Smallwood Village Fete community running event for young people. We had a team of club members who came along to support the fun run.

The fun run was a big success with 34 children taking part, all wearing race numbers and officially timed too 🥳 A big well done to you all.

By supporting local events, it not only helps us to get involved in community events, but in doing so gives us an opportunity to visibly and positively promote our great running club 💛

Congratulations to Chris Ridgway who is Harrier of the month for May.

- For running a sub 3 marathon at Manchester - along with his day job, family commitments and everything he does for the harriers I think that is some achievement
- Chris works so hard sorting the run leaders , for both Mondays and Thursdays, leading himself nearly every week, listing the runs, supporting us all as much as he possibly can, taking the warm ups before runs, plus much more thankyou Chris!

Mat’s running has been phenomenal, and he previously came 3rd Male in the Run North West Tatton Yule Yomp 10k race back in December which deserves recognition and something our club should be shouting about by our yellow vest being in the top 3! He also did an incredible PB at Media City half marathon part way through his marathon training which very sadly gave him an injury and has meant he has had to defer his London place, but his motivation and commitment for running deserves to be recognised, especially during a time when he’s really struggling with having such a significant amount of time off due to a serious injury! We can’t wait to have Mat back at club!

It's Track night tomorrow 7pm to 8pm at Cumberland Arena, Crewe. It'll be the usual mix of warm up, drills, individual efforts, team games and fun ! Suitable for all abilities 😊
Afterwards we're having a social at Nando's if you can stay.
