Biddulph Running Club

Biddulph Running Club Club runs are Tuesday and Thursday evenings. There’s also the option to get together with other club members for weekday runs and weekend off-road runs.

We run for fun, for fitness and to make friends. Some race hard and some run for relaxation. Some enjoy short distances and some just keep running and running... There’s healthy competition amongst those who enjoy chasing a PB, whatever that may be for you. Then there’s the social side of club runs and local races where we like to have a good club turnout both to run & to support. You’re welcome t

o come along for up to three runs for free. Send us a message if you have any questions or you’d like to come and try us out. Head to our website for more detailed info about the club.

It's back on the trails today for our Jem and Becca as they took on the Passing Cloud Race hosted by Congleton Harriers!

Both did an absolutely amazing job out there on what is never an easy course.

Poor Becca had a little fall along the way but, as did Chumbawamba, she got back up again! Nothing was stopping her getting to that finish line.

A massive well done to you both – brilliant effort and fantastic running!

Thursday evening saw the start of this year's Staffs Moorlands Summer Series, kicking off at Tittesworth.

What a turnout we've got this year – it's shaping up to be a cracking few weeks of racing, friendly competition and plenty of miles around some fantastic local routes.

A big thank you to Staffordshire Moorlands AC for once again putting on such a brilliant series. Next stop: The Roaches. See you there!

A massive well done to Sophie, Leanne and Jimmy for absolutely smashing the AJ Bell Manchester Half Marathon on Sunday! 👏🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️

Taking on the crowds, atmosphere and 13.1 miles around the streets of Manchester is no easy feat, but all three put in fantastic performances and crossed the finish line with plenty to be proud of.

A brilliant achievement by all three – enjoy the recovery and celebrate those well-earned medals! 💪🏅

Congratulations to Biddulph's very own Factor Fiftyless Adonis, Jack, on completing The Ultra Loop | Track Edition 24 Hour Event over the weekend. (Can tell he uploads these himself)

For anyone wondering, the event is basically one simple question: how many times can you run around a 400m track in 24 hours without completely losing your mind?

Well done, Jack, you absolute icon (I'll stop bigging myself up now 🤣).

On February 22nd, Biddulph Running Club hosted our annual Knype Pool 5 charity race to raise money for the Biddulph Town Council Charities of the year.

We are pleased to report that a total of £2230 was raised and handed over to the council by Barry, our chair person along with Emma Brydges, who will be the new race Coordinator from 2027 onwards.

We would like to take the opportunity to thank Graham & Dawn for all their support in previous years with the organisers of the event, along with thanking all those who supported on the day.

Huge well done to Daz, Mark, Cheryl, Nick, Ellie, Isabel and Sarah for all absolutely smashing the Endon Well Dressing 5K! 👏💪

A brilliant morning of racing and another fantastic turnout from the club. The Endon Well Dressing 5K is always a cracking local event with a great atmosphere, and everyone did themselves proud out there! 🏃‍♂️🏃‍♀️

Huge shout out as well to Stoke F.I.T. for organising such a brilliant event from start to finish 👏

Huge well done to Jack, Lee, Marc and Karen for absolutely smashing the Buxton Half Marathon on Sunday! 🏃‍♂️🏃‍♀️💪

With temperatures high and the elevation even higher, it was definitely not an easy day out there, but they all dug deep and got round safe and sound. Brilliant effort from everyone involved! 👏

And of course… we can’t ignore Chris gate crashing the photo either 🤣 He may proudly wear the Staffordshire Moorlands AC vest nowadays, but he’ll always be BRC at heart 🥲❤️

Fantastic running all round!

Huge well done to Laura, Emma and Amy on completing the midweek Quarry Bank 10K!

The Quarry Bank Trail 10K is a scenic single-lap, off-road event set within the beautiful National Trust grounds of Quarry Bank Mill in Styal, Cheshire. With a mix of woodland trails, riverside paths and challenging terrain, it’s a race that’s as tough as it is stunning.

Amazing effort from all three of you taking on a brilliant midweek challenge and smashing it!

A massive congratulations to Gareth for completing the IRONMAN 70.3 Aix-en-Provence over the weekend! 🇫🇷🔥

Taking place in the stunning south of France, the event is one of the most iconic middle-distance triathlons in Europe. Athletes take on a huge challenge consisting of a 1.9km swim, a brutal 90km bike course through the rolling Provençal countryside and mountain roads, before finishing with a tough half marathon under the Mediterranean heat. A true test of endurance, strength and determination from start to finish.
To complete an event of this level is an incredible achievement and something to be massively proud of.

Everyone from Biddulph Running Club congratulates you on such an amazing achievement Gareth — enjoy every second of it, you’ve earned it! 👏🏅

Massive congratulations to Katie on completing the Adidas Terrex Keswick Mountain Festival 10K!

A proper trail running adventure with a mix of wide-open trails through stunning woodland, a little single track, short sharp hills, road sections and fields to finish. All set in some of the Lake District’s finest running country along the shores of Derwentwater and beneath the famous Catbells. What a place for a race!

Katie describes race day as “A Rare Day” — but we all love seeing her out there smashing them when they do come around! Brilliant effort and another huge achievement ticked off!
