The Bears are delighted to announce Joe Woolley’s arrival. He’s joining Richard Duffy and the squad for the 26/27 season previously plying his trade at Bootle scoring 10 goals in 63 appearances.

Getting to know our latest signing ⚽️

The Bears have bolstered their attacking ranks with the signing of experienced forward Joe Woolley.

The attacker joins after leaving fellow Northern Premier League West side Bootle, where he made 63 appearances, scoring 10 goals.

He’s an experienced player at this level having played for Bootle at step four, as well as 1874 Northwich and Kidsgrove Athletic.

Woolley had a long spell at 1874, where he became a fan favourite, playing over 120 games.

He’s also played higher with Leek Town following their promotion to the Premier Division.

Moorlands Sports very own Rich Scott caught up with manager Richard Duffy and chatted all things pre season as we prepare for the new season.

The departures of three players (Ethan Hartshorn, Peter Williams and Max McCarthy), the retained list being published and the arrival of three players- Rob Stevenson, Julius Ndene and Shakeel Jones-Griffiths has kept the Bears busy preparing for the 2026/27 season.

Not long to go until preparations for the 26/27 season begins.

We head to Pershall Park on the 4th July to kick off our pre season friendly schedule against Eccleshall.
