Today I went to Irvings peak performance in Hamilton to see what it was like.

Really enjoyed it with some pretty cool machines ( also some i haven't used).

While doing my legs
I used the leg press and managed to press 120kg. Not bad for not using this for a while especially when it is metal plates 💪.

Over the past few weeks, we have been collecting donations of food and toys for the Inverclyde Food Bank and the Salvation Army.

Thank you to all staff, members and passers by who all donated something to make someone's Christmas that extra special 😊🎄

Last week, the team came to collect the donations, and they were overwhelmed with the generosity 💚

This year, we will be supporting Inverclyde Foodbank to help change someone's Christmas 🎁💚

In the gym, you will find a table set up to accept donations to support local families in need.

We will be accepting donations such as dry food, toiletries, and small gifts 💫

As well as this, if you have any clothes, toys, and other gifts you'd like to donate, we will also be accepting these to give to the Salvation Army 💪

Used a piece of gym equipment that I had never used before today 🙂🙂🙂

Today, I used a safety squat bar today. This is a great piece of equipment for anyone who struggles to do the conventional barbell back squat because the bar is padded, and you can hold a bar from the front ( see video).

Wee quick workout after my shift today

Today I done a wee circuit workout .

Each station was done for 40s on 20s off for 3 rounds
1. Rowing machine
2. Dumbbell squat to press
3.sandbag row
4.alternating lunges
5. Kettle bell swing
6 dumbbell floor chest press
7. Plank
8. Hiit bike.

This was inspired by one of the jd classes I used to take 🤣🤣

Think I've now found my new favourite back exercise.
The seated high row

This primarily works the muscles of the upper back, including the latissimus dorsi (lats), trapezius, rhomboids, and the rear deltoids it also works your biceps.

During my own full body workout yesterday 💪

In the video, I am doing a single arm shoulder press using a 20kg barbell in a landmine attachment.

I done this for 2 sets of 15 on each arm.

Using a landmine attachment ( could even put a bar in the corner of a room) allows you to do a various amount of exercises.

Why am I using it for shoulder pressing.
This will help develop my muscle endurance at this range for each arm individually ( 15+ reps for endurance) and also works your core.
