Have you ever eaten… not because you were hungry, but because you were overwhelmed, tired, or just needed a moment to breathe?

Last weekend, I did exactly that.
Not by accident.
Not out of control.
But consciously.

I allowed myself 3 days of emotional eating — without guilt.

And what I realised changed the way I see food, emotions, and self-care.

This blog is not about “being perfect.”
It’s about being honest, aware, and kind to yourself.

Sometimes we don’t need another diet.

We need understanding.

Hi, I’m Aggeliki 🌿

I’m a Life & Health Coach based here in the Cotswolds, and my work centres around one simple idea:

Eat well – Love well – Live well.

I’ve always been fascinated by food and relationships.

Because how we feel in our relationships — with parents, partners, children, friends, colleagues — affects how we treat ourselves.

And very often… how we eat.

Emotional eating is not a personality flaw.
It’s not lack of willpower.
It’s a behaviour.

And behaviours are like jumpers.

If it no longer fits who you are becoming, you can choose not to wear it anymore.

This month I’m focusing on emotional eating, and I’m co-hosting a workshop with a Nutritional Therapist Daisy Brooks :

“Finally Understand Weight Loss — Moving Beyond the ‘What’ to Understand the ‘Why’.”

Maybe you’re not tired… maybe you’re emotionally exhausted.
I see this a lot in women — especially those who work long hours, run businesses, or are trying to build something of their own — and you might recognise yourself too:

✔️ You say yes when you really mean no
✔️ You automatically put everyone else’s needs first
✔️ You carry the mental load — work, home, family, emotions
✔️ You’re always “on”, thinking, organising, planning
✔️ And at the end of the day, there’s nothing left for you

This is emotional stress.

And very often it’s linked to people-pleasing — an automatic response to keep the peace and stay safe.

Over time, this can lead to:
-constant mental load
-burnout
-procrastination around the things you want to do
-and a deep sense of loneliness, even when you’re surrounded by people

This isn't a weakness.
It isn't a failure.

It’s a nervous system that’s been in “giving mode” for too long.

I’ve written an article explaining how emotional stress, people-pleasing and burnout are connected — in a clear, human way, without blame.

Yesterday I spoke at Malmesbury Mums Business Networking Group about mental load, emotional stress, and overwhelm.

I’m very grateful to everyone who listened and supported me. It was lovely to reconnect and have such open, honest conversations.

Are you a woman who “does it all”?

->Working or you run a business.
->You manage the house, the kids, the admin, the planning.
->You’re the one who remembers, organises, and holds everything together.

On the outside, you’re capable and reliable.
On the inside, you may feel emotionally overwhelmed, tense, and quietly doubting yourself — even though you know you’re strong.

This isn’t a confidence problem.
And it’s not because you’re doing something wrong.

It’s often emotional stress — when your nervous system has been carrying responsibility for too long, without enough space to reset.

That kind of stress affects focus, self-trust, sleep, digestion, and the ability to truly switch off — even during rest.

I’ve written a short blog about emotional stress, how it shows up in everyday life, and why so many high-functioning women feel this way without realising why.

January Check-In for Relationships 💛
After the rush of Christmas, many couples feel this quiet tension in January…

Nothing dramatic has happened — but you feel tired, unseen, disconnected.
One simple shift that changes everything:

Learn to separate the FACT from the STORY.
FACT:
Your partner is on their phone.
STORY:
“They don’t care. I’m alone in this. I don’t matter.”
Our nervous system fills in the gaps — especially when we’re stressed, exhausted, and carrying too much. And from that story… we react, not respond.
Another powerful reset:

✨ Say what you actually need — out loud: ‘’I need some help please’’
✨ Pause before reacting.
✨ Ask yourself: “Am I speaking from my adult self… or from an old hurt part of me?”
Small awareness = huge shift in how your relationship feels.
