In 2010, I climbed mountains and it changed how I live and lead.

I was selected for the Reed Leadership Challenge, a week-long experience designed to push leaders beyond their comfort zones.
We faced fear, exhaustion, uncertainty and ourselves.

Climbing those mountains wasn’t just a physical challenge. It was a personal transformation.

Here’s what stayed with me:

• Confidence beyond the workplace – Confidence isn’t about job titles. It’s how we show up in everyday life.
• The power of switching off – Rest and reflection aren’t luxuries; they’re essential.
• Believing in people (with balance) – Trust others, but don’t take it personally when expectations aren’t met.
• The reality of teamwork – Great teams are built on trust, communication, and shared purpose not just skill.
• The power of persistence – When things get hard, focus and forward motion matter most.

But the biggest lesson of all?

Learning to fully enjoy the present moment, rather than constantly worrying about what’s next.

When I returned to my career, I didn’t leave these lessons on the mountain. I applied them daily, leading my team, making decisions, and being far kinder to myself about where I was heading.

I still use these skills every single day.

They shaped my leadership, my love of the outdoors, cold-water swimming, and even how I handle challenge and discomfort (we once slept at the top of a snowy mountain so yes, that tracks).

This experience was truly life-changing.

And here’s the part I want you to hear:

You don’t need to climb a mountain or take on an extreme challenge to create meaning, clarity, or confidence in your life.

Sometimes, the most powerful shift comes from simply slowing down.

So this week, I invite you to pause and reflect:
• Where are you right now in your journey?
• What are you learning?
• What are you enjoying?
• What can you embrace in this moment instead of worrying about what’s next?

This is exactly the space I hold in my coaching, helping people reconnect with themselves, gain clarity, and move forward with intention.

If that resonates, I’d love to support you.

Motivation fades. Structure doesn’t.

Routines keep you steady.
When life feels chaotic, they give you something solid to stand on.

Planning gives you mental control.
Instead of reacting all week, you move with intention.

Habits keep you safe.

They protect your energy, your nervous system, and your focus, especially when you’re tired and running on empty.

Burnout isn’t a lack of motivation.

It comes from doing too much without support.

Your body, mind, heart, and soul are asking for energy to be met, not more pressure.

This week, check in with yourself:
Physical: What helps your body feel grounded, rested, and nourished?
Mental: What clears your head instead of filling it?
Emotional: What restores your heart instead of draining it?
Social: Where can you give less and receive more?
Spiritual: What reconnects you to meaning, purpose, and peace? Pray is my go to always.

So this week, don’t ask how to do more.
Ask yourself: What will help me keep going this week without draining myself?

One non-negotiable habit.
One simple plan.
One routine that brings you back to yourself.

Small structure. Big relief.

What’s one thing you’re choosing to support your energy this week?

People don’t struggle because they lack ability.
They struggle because they try to carry everything alone.

Isolation doesn’t make us stronger.
It makes life heavier.

Support is not weakness.
Accountability is not dependency.
And connection doesn’t take away autonomy, it deepens it.

If this season feels heavy, ask yourself:
Who am I walking this through with?

You don’t need more pressure. You need people.

Our coaching honours the whole person not just your role, title, or productivity.

We work from a heart-centred foundation grounded in compassion, self-awareness, and purposeful action.

This is not about pushing harder or fixing what’s “wrong.”

It’s about creating sustainable growth that supports your energy, values, and long-term wellbeing without burnout.

A coach holds belief in you, especially when your own confidence feels depleted.

We walk alongside you, holding you accountable with clarity, compassion, and purposeful challenge.

This coaching focuses on alignment, self-leadership, and conscious choice. This work refines your direction rather than repairing you.

It supports you to move from overwhelm to clarity,
from self-doubt to confidence, and from feeling stuck to aligned, purposeful action without burning yourself out.

Through heart-centred coaching, you’ll build self-trust, release limiting patterns, and create sustainable habits that support your life and work.

You don’t need more pressure. You need the right support a safe, grounded space to explore your thinking, slow things down, gain perspective, and be challenged with clarity and compassion.

A space that supports confident decision-making, aligned action, and forward movement without carrying it all alone.

It’s about reclaiming your power, reconnecting with your inner wisdom, and creating a way of working and living that truly supports you now and into the future.

What would change if you didn’t have to do this alone?

Here’s an honest truth.

This is the first year I haven’t felt excited about a new year the possibilities, the expectations, the opportunities, the usual sense of momentum and excitement. 😬

And yet, after 22 years of working deeply with human beings, and walking alongside clients through change, I know this to be true.

Courage doesn’t always look like excitement.
Sometimes it looks like honesty.

So here it is:
🪽It’s okay not to feel excited stepping into a new year.
🪽It’s okay to pause before making decisions.
🪽It’s okay to give yourself time to process.

✖️But it’s not okay to isolate.
✖️It’s not okay to carry it all alone.

We are not meant to navigate life,
work or personal in isolation.

🥰We need connection.
👥We need people. We need community.

So I’m choosing to lead from the front.

To be brave about how things actually feel, not how they “should” feel.

If you’re finding yourself lacking clarity right now, know this:

🫶🏼Gentle daily action matters.
🫶🏼Small acts of bravery matter.

One of mine…
🥶Daily cold baths (goodness it’s been cold this week)

A reminder that courage is a practice not a personality trait.

You don’t need all the answers.

You just need to keep showing up connected, supported, and willing to take the next brave.

At Kiki Kirby Consultancy and Kiki Kirby Coaching , we work from the heart.

That means we meet people where they are with honesty, compassion, and courage.

Heart-centred coaching isn’t about fixing or forcing change. It’s about creating safe, grounded support so clarity, resilience, and aligned action can emerge naturally.
