Caerphilly RFC are on the lookout for a passionate and driven Backs Coach to join our coaching team. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in developing an attacking, confident back line while contributing to the growth of a proud community rugby club.
Job Title: Backs Coach
Role Summary: The Backs Coach is responsible for planning and delivering coaching for the back line, helping develop a creative, well-organised unit that contributes to the overall team performance. The role will work with the Head/Forwards Coach to ensure the team operates with a clear and cohesive playing style.

Is a forward thinking coach that can get the best of their players by developing strong relationships
Wants to learn and improve as a coach and actively seeks to develop their craft
Has experience of working in a club environment and can develop young players as part of a community rugby club
Key Responsibilities
Plan and deliver backs-specific coaching during weekly training sessions.
Coach and develop key areas of the game including attacking shape, decision making, handling and passing, kicking strategy, counter attack and defensive systems in the wider channels.
Work collaboratively with the Forwards Coach to ensure training sessions reflect the team's overall game plan.
Assist with match preparation, including selection discussions and tactical planning.
Support the team on match days with backs organisation and in-game adjustments.
Promote high standards of discipline, work ethic, and team culture within the squad.
Contribute to player development and provide feedback to players to improve performance.
Maintain communication with the club committee regarding team performance, needs, and development.

Skills & Experience (Desirable)
WRU Level 2 is Essential for the role.
WRU Level 3 (or equivalent) coaching award would be desirable.
At least 2 years experience coaching senior rugby at division 1 or above
