We need upper body strength (and yes, this still applies to you even if you’re not a shooter).
Being able to hold space on court, have more explosive power behind your balls, improved accuracy when passing will all elevate your game. Alongside, shoulders doing a lot of work on court so training them in the gym to get stronger helps reduce the risk of injury on court.
Netball is a physical game so having more upper body strength and resilience will only play dividends to your game play.
We’re starting our off season program June 1st which will include all the elements you need to get you feeling stronger, fitter and ready to go at the beginning of netball season.
