⭐️First Pre Season Friendly⭐️

The wait is over… rugby is back! 💥

Our first pre-season fixture sees us take on Caldicot RFC as preparations begin for the 2026/27 season.

Unfortunately, due to the current ground conditions at Bream, our pitch is simply too hard to play on. A huge thank you to Cinderford Rugby Club for hosting the fixture and helping us get the season underway.

Come along, grab a beer, and get behind the lads as they blow away the cobwebs and build towards the new campaign. Your support always makes a difference! 🍻🔴⚫

Today’s the day! Come grab a beer & watch some bang average footy!

🚨 THE COUNTDOWN IS ON… 🚨

The Bream RFC 5-a-Side Football Tournament is nearly here, and it’s shaping up to be an absolute belter! ⚽🍻

We’ve got 15 teams battling it out for the trophy, special guest referees (who’ll probably still get abuse 🤣), a BBQ fired up all day, the bar open from start to finish, and DJ Craig Nicholls keeping the tunes going all day and into the evening. 🎶🔥

📍 Meet & Registration: 12:00pm
💷 £25 per team – CASH ON THE DAY when registering! (Don’t be the captain who turns up asking if we take card… we don’t!)

Showers Provided after the event, via changing rooms.. 🚿🧽

Teams are more than welcome to bring marquees or camping chairs, to set up base. 🎪🪑

Bring the family, bring your mates, grab a burger, sink a pint and enjoy a day of average football, excellent drinking, and questionable refereeing! 🍔🍺😂

🍺 LAST BUT NOT LEAST… TEAM 15 – BEER PRESSURE 🍺

We’ve finally reached the last team, and it’s safe to say they’ve lived up to their name long before a ball’s been kicked.

Captain Reuben Jenkins has assembled a squad whose pre-match tactics involve asking, “Who’s getting the first round?” rather than discussing formations.

Charlie Barnett is only here because the darts board was already taken. If there’s a treble 20 nearby he’ll find it, but ask him to hit the target with a football and you’re asking a bit much.

The rest of the boys will no doubt put in a shift… until the clubhouse opens. Expect plenty of crunching tackles, questionable decisions, and enough shouting at the referee to make him question why he volunteered.

Win, lose or draw, Beer Pressure have got one goal in mind—and it isn’t the one with the net on it.

Good luck to all 15 teams. Let the football, BBQ, beers and questionable decision-making commence! 🍻⚽🏆

Introducing our fourteenth team…

‘Tart Teasers’…

Youth is definitely on their side… but whether football ability is remains to be seen.

Captain Aidyn Williams has somehow managed to drag Dexter Hamblett away from the gym for the day. The big question is… can Aidyn & Dexter put the barbells down long enough to kick a football? Or will they be asking if there’s a squat rack next to the halfway line?

Aidyn looks like he’s been living on chicken, rice and protein shakes. Built like a brick sh*****se, he’ll be hoping he can bully a few defenders rather than just admire himself in the warm-up.

Then there’s Dexter Hamblett… the self-appointed poster boy of ‘all inclusive fitness gym’. More interested in finding the best lighting for a mirror selfie than finding a pass. If posing for photos won trophies, he’d already have a cabinet full.

The rest of the lads have got plenty of young legs, plenty of confidence and absolutely no fear. They’ll either be the tournament’s surprise package… or be back on FIFA by tea time.

Either way, expect plenty of running, a few stepovers that don’t come off, and Aidyn carrying the shopping while Dexter makes sure his hair’s still in place. ⚽🏋

𝐖𝐞 𝐧𝐞𝐞𝐝 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐡𝐞𝐥𝐩!

Bream RFC have built up a strong social media presence over the past few years across both Instagram and Facebook. We’ve shared fixture lists, new signings, game week posts, team sheets, results and man of the match posts and all sorts of club updates.

We are now looking for somebody to take on the social media role at the club to reignite it and keep our supporters updated.

We are happy to hear from anybody who feels they would be keen to take this on - Young, old, partner of a player, family member of a player, ex player, living in the village with some free time, Keir Starmer - There is no restriction on who can take this role forward.

It doesn’t have to be a post a day or even multiple posts a week but the key content would be team sheets and club updates. If somebody wanted to get more involved and make it even more engaging then we won’t stop you - The world is your oyster.
