On Saturday 16th May, we are taking part in 'Challenge Yorkshire' to help raise vital funds for Yorkshire Children's Charity - they've asked us to raise a minimum of £160 per person, so we need to get to £800 as a team . We'd be really grateful for any donations, big or small! It's a 4-hour test of endurance and tactics...so it's going to be tough! Sam will even get his top off for money if you ask nicely.
The money raised from 'Challenge Yorkshire' will go towards their 'Winter Support Campaign' which focuses on providing children living in destitution with the essential winter items (coats, shoes and bedding) so they can arrive at school 'warm, dry, and crucially, ready to learn'. As a result of this campaign last year, 30,000 winter essentials were provided to children across Yorkshire.
Yorkshire Children's Charity launched in 2022, with one sole purpose: to improve the lives of children and young people living at a disadvantage across the region, be that due to sickness, disability or financial circumstance. Since its inception, they have raised over £8m and supported more than 58,000 children across the region. They receive no government funding, meaning they rely heavily on fundraising and challenge events like this.
Link for donations is in our bio. We will also have donations points in the gym so dig deep!
