Progressive overload = gradually making your workouts harder over time.

More weight, more reps, better form or less rest - the goal is to keep challenging your body so it can keep progressing.

A few of Mov3ment’s August highlights✨

August was another month of showing up, putting in the work, supporting one another and coming together as a community!

We couldn’t be prouder of our members - a huge thank you to every single one of you for the effort, consistency and energy you’ve brought to the gym throughout the month.

With holidays, busy schedules, long days and plenty of distractions, staying consistent can be a challenge during this summer month so well done to everyone who stayed committed throughout the month.

You don’t need to live in the gym to make progress.

3x quality gym sessions a week is more than enough to build muscle, get stronger and feel better - especially when combine it with good nutrition, enough protein, sleep and consistency.

The goal isn’t to train as much as possible.

It’s to train as effectively as possible and stay consistent.

Remember:
Quality > quantity
Consistency > perfection

🚨 Missing one session doesn’t mean you have ruined your week! 🚨

You don’t need to hit every workout, eat perfectly, or have everything go to plan to make progress. Life happens, you get tired, plans change.

The important thing is you don’t let one missed session turn into giving up for your whole week. Getting back on track is what matters.

10 months ago, Marcus started with our Six-Week Challenge.

Since then, he’s become a big part of the Mov3ment community, training mainly in Small Group PT, with the odd Large Group session thrown in too.

His lifting has come on leaps and bounds. He’s stronger, he’s gained muscle and, most importantly, he’s built consistency.

Marcus thrives when he’s in a good routine, so a big part of our job is helping him maintain it. Regular sessions, ongoing coaching and someone keeping him accountable when life gets busy.

He isn’t chasing a quick fix or trying to make training his entire life. He’s simply a normal bloke who wants to feel strong, make progress and enjoy a good quality of life.

That’s what sustainable results look like.

A sensible pace. The right support. And continuing to turn up.

Brilliant work, Marcus šŸ‘

If you’re looking for more than just somewhere to train, our Six-Week Challenge could be the perfect place to start.

A COACH DOES MORE THAN COUNT REPS! āš”ļø

We help develop technique, intensity and encourage progression.

The goal isn’t to make every session as hard as possible, it’s to make sure you’re getting better!

Next month, Mov3ment turns 9.

We started in an old mill in Sowerby Bridge with a basic space, minimal kit and a clear idea of the type of gym we wanted to build.

Since then, we’ve moved, grown, improved and built a brilliant team of coaches around us. There have been plenty of challenges and changes along the way, but the heart of Mov3ment has always stayed the same.

Coaching people properly. Building a strong community. Helping people become more confident in the gym and in themselves.

We’re incredibly proud of how far we’ve come and grateful to every member, coach and person who has played a part in the journey.

Nine years in, we still feel like there is so much more to come, and we’re genuinely excited about the future of Mov3ment.
