Boxford Rovers FC

Boxford Rovers FC Boxford Rovers Football Club Boxford Rovers Football Club was founded in 1977 and disbanded its adult section in 2015.

There is a project underway to revitalise and restart the club for the 2022/23 with aspirations to play in the Border League. The club is sadly now located in Nayland due to lack of appropriate facilities at Boxford Homefields.

A WIN AWAY! Boxford sn**ch the points away at Gas Recreation Ressies with goals from Jack Montgomery, Will Weller and Jody Wright. This all but secures Boxford's place in division two next season after being rock bottom in November. A fine turnaround for the Homefielders and testament to the hard work of Jack Prentice, who masterminded today's win. A top performance from the boys and a fine way to finish the season. 👏👏👏👏👏👏
MOTM was Ollie Bloomfield and Hayden Bullock

One last time for 2025/26 season: Boxford take on old rivals Gas Recreation in the last game of the season with survival not guaranteed for the Homefielders. Relegation is mathematically possible but last week's shock draw has helped the cause. Olly Dinnell is back after travelling, Hayden Bullock from injury and Sam Awere appears to have recovered from last weeks knock. Let's get behind the Box! 😊👏👏

Boxford came from a 3-0 halftime scoreline to draw 3-3 - and with a depleted squad. Goals from Thom Chance and a screamer from Will Weller, helped the Homefielders crown an unlikely turnaround. A man of the match performance from Jody Wright and a team showing real mettle. League leaders? Not so much

Boxford travel to league leaders Bradfield Rovers for an encounter which is likely to be tough. The Homefielders deserved better in the reverse fixture and will be aiming to use the lessons learned from that game. However, Rovers also have a few missing due to injury. Let's see what Saturday brings.

It was a humbling 5-2 loss for Boxford at the hands of Harwich and Parkeston, who scored two quick goals when Rovers were down to ten. Jody Wright was sin binned and a few sloppily conceded goals put paid to Boxford's last cup opportunity in 25/26. Goals were from Jack Montgomery and a returning Joe Marsh, who was a rare highlight and was adjudged MOTM. Liam Hazell also continued his good form. Nevertheless Boxford will need to wake up after today's performance.

Boxford welcome Harwich and Parkeston to Homefield today for a 2.30PM kick off Tommy Thompson Cup Match. Harwich are second in the division below after a strong season and Boxford are expecting a tough encounter. We welcome Joe Marsh back but both Ben Tatum and Cody Ennis Hadley are out with illness and injury respectively. See you up there!

A useful three points for the Homefielders as they look to cement their place in division two next year. The boys dominated the game from the kick off and were unlucky to go in at half time 0-0. However the first half was blighted by a nasty knee injury to Cody Ennis-Hadley, we wish him well. After the break the strike force of Montgomery and Chance had a number of opportunities to break the deadlock - before Monty latched onto a cross and delivered the goods. Eight minutes later, Chance was brought down in the box but skyed the resulting penalty. Any remaining nerves were settled by Freddie Bagrie's second goal for the club. Monty had one more holder chance when Weller's pinpoint cross from the wing was fudged. However, this was a good performance and a real boost as we head towards the end of the season. Man of the match was Liam Hazell but with an honourable mention to Josh Evans.

The Homefielders travel to the Bell Field to take on Great Bradfords in the first 3pm kick off of 2026. Rovers have a strong side, aside from Hayden Bullock out with an injury, and will be hoping to push on from a positive showing against the league leaders last week. Come and give us a cheer.

Boxford gave the run away league leaders a battle at Homefield today. Bradfield stormed into a 3-0 half time lead, but goals from Thom Chance and an absolute worldy from Ben Tatum pegged them back to 3-2. Bradfield finished the game off with a late flourish and made it 4-2 but Rovers will feel buoyed by their second half performance and the management only wish they'd played like that the whole game. MOTM
was Josh Evans with notable mentions to Cody Ennis Hadley and Ant Pearce.
