Another summer at Rushbanks Farm has been and gone, and what a summer it’s been. 🌿🛶☀️

As we close our gates for the winter, we wanted to take a moment to say a HUGE thank you to every single person who has helped make Rushbanks what it is this summer.

🚣‍♀️🌊 WHAT A DAY ON THE STOUR! 🌊🚣‍♂️

What a fantastic day for the Mini Sudbury 2 The Sea (S2C)! ☀️

With the River Stour exceptionally low and rapid w**d growth making the section beyond Rushbanks almost impossible to navigate this year, the usual two-day S2C became a one-day adventure finishing at Rushbanks Farm, Wissington.

And what a turnout! 🙌
🛶 115 canoes, kayaks and paddleboards took to the river, enjoying some glorious weather and a brilliant day out on the Stour.

For many, Rushbanks was the finish line — but for quite a few paddlers it was also home for the night, with campers settling in and making the most of the riverside setting. 🏕️🌿

Everyone who completed the challenge received their S2C certificate, and there were plenty of smiles, stories and tired-but-happy paddlers by the end of the day! 🏅😊

A huge thank you to everyone who took part, and to all those who helped make the Mini S2C happen. It was wonderful to see the river being enjoyed by so many people. 💙

And finally, a little reminder from the Rushbanks team… this is our last weekend of the 2026 season! 🏕️🌿 - We close tomorrow (Monday) at midday, so if you’re staying with us this weekend, make the most of those final hours by the river. ❤️

And what a way to finish! 🎉 This Saturday 12 September, we’re delighted to be welcoming the MINI S2S (Sudbury 2 Sea) as they make their way along the River Stour and finish right here at Rushbanks Campsite! 🌊🚣‍♂️ and we’re looking forward to welcoming all the paddlers to Rushbanks! 💚

As the kids head back to school and we get ready to close Rushbanks for another season, it feels like the perfect time to say a HUGE THANK YOU to everyone who joined us for our summer pop-ups! ❤️
