Running into Holly again felt a bit like a full-circle moment 💛
In spring last year we both attended “Nurture to Thrive” with our newborns, so when she got in touch to do a fitness assessment and body composition reading, I was more than happy to help!
Holly is 1 year postpartum, mum to two girls, still breastfeeding, and generally navigating life 😆 all while carrying a lot less body weight than her body may be comfortable with right now.
Our session wasn’t about chasing fat loss or aesthetics.
It was about health, hormones, brain function, cycle regularity, and mental wellbeing, and how being too lean, especially as a breastfeeding mum, can quietly impact all of that.
Sometimes the next step forward isn’t doing more…
It’s fueling more 🥑🍳
High-calorie, nutrient-dense foods.
Adequate fats and protein.
Protecting muscle.
Letting the body feel safe again.
The goal?
To rebuild reserves, feel stronger, return to regular exercise, and get Holly back to teaching movement, which is something she truly loves.
Postpartum health isn’t one-size-fits-all.
And “small” doesn’t always mean well.
Our bodies are so intelligent, but sometimes we have to slow down enough to listen 👂🏻
You deserve to be THRIVING not just surviving 💕
