The Club was first established in the early 1950’s when it shared a small pavilion at Odiham’s cricket ground, fielded only two teams and had no more than thirty members. We now have a playing membership in the region of 180+ members enabling us to field 6 Men’s teams, 6 Ladies teams, 5 youth teams and a mixed team on a regular basis. We as a club believe continue to and believe this has been a di

rect result of having a firm structure and taking hockey development seriously. Both males and females as young as six to sixty currently play hockey at the club. Saturday morning training sees some 50+ 6-10 year olds getting to grips with the basics whilst Sunday morning sees 40+ 11-14 year olds train. We have good links with many of the schools in the borough which is the main medium by which we obtain new youngsters wishing to play hockey outside of school. In addition to the playing side of the club we have a very active social scene which sees many social events organised each year from skittles evenings, quiz nights, Christmas Dinner, Presidents Day and the Annual Club dinner. Saturday morning saw our Junior section gather to kick off their season with their own Junior Club Day. We were joined by the fabulous volunteers from Hampshire & Isle of Wight Air Ambulance and rheir Simulateor that entertained kids both young and old whilst teaching all of the incredible work the Air Ambulance team does on a daily basis. Thank you for giving your time to join us.
As part of the Club Day. awards were given out from last season, congratulations to the winners and lastly a big thanks go to the Coaching team. youth ambasadors. parent volunteers and all who give up their time to keep the youth section thriving.

And here's this weekend's scores on the doors... I know you've missed these and Club Day didnt disappoint - what a wonderful sunny day!!!

A huge thank you to our friends from the Hampshire & Isle of Wight Air Ambulance who joined us along with Teddy Medic for some flying lessons and high-fives! We hope everyone that had a go in the helicopter simulator enjoyed their flight!!

☀️ LET’S START THE SEASON TOGETHER! ☀️

🏑Saturday 5th September!!🏑

Our Family Club Day is the official launch of the new hockey season. We can’t wait to welcome our whole hockey family back! ❤️🤍

The day will include:
🏅 Junior fun events & awards in the morning
🔥 Adult hockey in the afternoon
🍔 BBQ lunch
🙌 A chance to catch up with teammates, coaches and friends ahead of the new season.
. plus special guests bringing extra fun from the Hampshire & Isle of Wight Air Ambulance and our sponsors K J Smith Solicitors !!

Whether you’re a player, parent, supporter or volunteer — this day is for everyone. Let’s come together and push back on another brilliant season!

Pitch timings:
U14 and U16s: 9-10am – Awards at 10am
U6, U8s and U10s: 10 – 11am Certificates at 9.30
U12s: 11 – 12 (awards at 12)

Then we have some exhibition adult hockey so take a spot in the stands with a beverage and burger to watch:
Pitch 1: Ladies 1s exhibition round robin v Witney & Woking 12:30 - 16:30pm
Ladies 3s v Ladies 4s: 4.45 - 6pm

Pitch 2: Mens 4s v Woking 2.30 - 4pm
Mens 7s v South Berks: 4.30 - 6pm

Plus, the bar will be open for teams to catch up after a hard day's hockey in the evening.
