This week, we want to give a huge shoutout to all of our amazing volunteers who help make everything happen behind the scenes. 💙

Some thought they were just helping out for a day... and now everyone knows their name! 😆🙌

From setting up and supporting events to cheering on our gymnasts and lending a helping hand whenever needed, your time, energy and dedication make a real difference to our club and community.

We have so many fantastic volunteers that we couldn’t fit everyone into one post, but we want every single one of you to know how much you are appreciated. 🌟

Our latest newsletter is here! This month we're excited to introduce our wonderful Welfare Officer, Heidi, share details about our Wear Yellow Day for Cystic Fibrosis Awareness Week, remind everyone about the Rec Badge payment deadline, and look ahead to our exciting Beach-Themed Club Festival at the end of June! 🏖️🤸‍♀️

We are also looking forward to wishing all our amazing dads, grandads, and father figures a very Happy Father's Day. 💙

Thank you to all our gymnasts and families for being part of our fantastic club community. We can't wait to see everyone enjoying all the fun and memories June has in store!

We hope you all had a lovely Bank Holiday weekend and are ready for a HOT half term ahead! 😎🔥

Just a reminder that we are OPEN throughout half term, and our amazing holiday camps are running all week long too 💪🎉

With the heatwave sticking around, please remember these key things before coming along:

💧 Stay hydrated — bring a refillable water bottle and keep drinking throughout the day
👕 Wear appropriate clothing — light, breathable gymwear is best
🧡 Listen to your body — if you feel unwell, dizzy, or too hot, let a coach know straight away

WOW 🤩🔥 Our tumblers absolutely SMASHED the Regional & FIG Revolution Open Tumble Competition 2026 💥👏

We honestly could not be prouder of this amazing team 💙 Every single tumbler stepped onto the floor with confidence, determination and heart, showing just how hard they have worked in training. The dedication, resilience and support they show one another every week truly paid off this weekend, and watching them shine out on the competition floor was so special 🌟

Every athlete represented the club beautifully and gave it their all — and that is something to be incredibly proud of 💪✨

💙 It’s Dementia Action Week 💙
A powerful annual campaign led by the Alzheimer's Society to raise awareness, challenge stigma, and support everyone affected by dementia.

At Basingstoke Gymnastics Club, we’re proud to play our part by holding our Love to Move classes through our fun, age & dementia-friendly seated movement classes to music 🎶✨

A welcoming space to move, connect, smile, and feel good together 💃🪑

Our sessions are currently FREE for just a few more weeks — then only £5 per session after that.

Come join us, bring a friend, and let’s keep moving together 💙

Get ready for an incredible weekend of gymnastics, creativity, and beach vibes at Club Festival 2026! ☀️🤸‍♀️🌊

📅 Saturday 27th & Sunday 28th June 2026
📍 Basingstoke Gymnastics Club

🎟️ ENTRIES CLOSE: Monday 2nd June at Midnight
⏳ Spaces are LIMITED and entries are strictly first come, first served — once full, entries will close and we cannot accept late entries!

🌴 BEACH THEME 🌴
Once the programme is released, every gymnast will receive an entry number to decorate with their own BEACH-THEMED design! 🐚🌺🏖️ We can’t wait to see everyone’s creativity shine.

🎫 Spectator Tickets (available on the day only):
Adults (13+): £6
Children (4–12): £3
Under 4s: FREE

📌 A full schedule will be shared after entries close and the programme is finalised.

💗 Mental Health Matters at Our Club 💗

As we come to the final day of Mental Health Awareness Week, we want to remind everyone that just because the week is ending, it doesn’t mean the importance of mental health does. Looking after your wellbeing matters every day, not just this week. 💪🧠

This week we’ve been focusing on taking meaningful action—for ourselves and for each other. Let’s keep being stronger together and kinder to ourselves.

Remember, it’s okay to not be okay, and our club is always a safe space to talk, listen, and support one another. 💬
