🌟 Dolly Gore Trophy Day! 🌟

Four of our Basingstoke Town ladies – Jan, Tracy, Anita & Rachel – proudly represented the North of Hampshire today at Banister Park Bowling Club in the Dolly Gore Trophy, where the four areas of the County battle it out, with 6 rinks representing each area. 🏆

The North got off to a fantastic start this morning with a great win over the East, sending them through to face the South in this afternoon’s final showdown. 💪💙💛

It was a real battle on the green, with the North fighting hard right to the very end. They may have just missed out on top spot, but a fantastic performance saw the North finish as runners-up, with East taking third place and West fourth. 👏🥈

A huge well done to our ladies for proudly representing both Basingstoke Town and North Hampshire – fantastic bowling, team spirit and camaraderie throughout the day! 💙💛

Runners-up today, but winners in our eyes! 🥈👏

🏆 BDBA FOURS CHAMPIONS! 🏆

What a fantastic afternoon for Basingstoke Town Bowling Club! 💙💛

Congratulations to Charlie May, Ian Willson, Adam White & Frank Mike England, who took on Tony, Matt, Kevin & Lesley of Howard Park in this afternoon’s BDBA Fours Final.

And what a performance it was! 👏👏 Town's four played some superb bowls to take the title with an impressive 22–8 victory! 🏆

A brilliant team effort and another trophy heading back to The Town! 💙💛

Huge congratulations, lads — thoroughly deserved... and well done to Howard Park for reaching the final stage of this competition.

A big well done also to our Triples team, Bill, Martin and Joe, who were runners up to Alton Town yesterday morning in a game that went right to the wire! 👏 🌟 🎉

🌟UPDATE: Well done to Charlie today. Though it was a 9-21 defeat, as is often the case, the score didn't reflect the great game that it was. This may have been Charlie's first game at Leamington, but we are sure that it won't be his last! 🙌🙌 🌟

🏆💙💛 HANTS & BERKS CUP CHAMPIONS! 💛💙🏆

What a fantastic day for Basingstoke Town Bowling Club! 🎉
Following a solid semi-final victory over Kingsclere at Howard Park this morning, our Hants & Berks Cup team were straight back out on the green in the afternoon heat for the final against Alton Social.

Town got off to a flying start and led from the outset. Although Alton Social narrowed the gap to 10 shots midway through the game, our team dug deep, pulled away again and finished in style with a superb 59–35 victory! 🏆👏

A huge CONGRATULATIONS to our champions — a brilliant team performance and a fantastic achievement! 💙💛

👏 Congratulations to Alton Social too, and a massive thank you to all our supporters who cheered the team on from the sidelines throughout the day. Your support means so much!

🙏 A special thank you to BDBA President Tony Cooper and everyone at Howard Park Bowls Club for their wonderful hospitality and for hosting such a great day.

🌟 President's Day 2026 🌟

Though the weather was hot, hot, hot 🥵, and the green no longer quite so green, a fun time was had by all!

💛 Many thanks to all of those involved in the planning and organisation of the day.

💙 Thank you also to our President Keith McEwan for treating us to a sumptuous buffet... the food was indeed exceptional and plentiful.. Special thanks Sue-Anne Carter & Lorraine England 😋
