End Of An Era π₯Ή
After an 8 year spell in the famed Quins quarters, our own Sheree Cooper has announced her retirement from the professional game. Starting her rugby journey at Down Grange, her performances at club and county level saw the loose head progress to Harlequins development squad, before becoming a senior figure of their PWR squad.
Training week in, week out with some of the biggest names in world rugby along with serious commitment to her fitness off the pitch has seen Sheree transform as a player since last running out in blue and gold, with her journey a real inspiration to young players throughout the club. Over 50 appearances and a run out at HQ later, Basingstoke RFC would like to congratulate Sheree for her incredible career.
Beyond her success in the professional game, we are incredibly grateful for Sheree's continued contribution towards developing our club, in particular our Women's section. Our current Chair of Women's Playing, Sheree has gone above and beyond in so many aspects across the club - involved in coaching our Women's and Men's sections, managing our social media and our club website (and no doubt so much else), we're incredibly proud to have you as a Basingstoke RFC product!
All the best Sheree - here's hoping we see more of you around the club this year! ππ
