September is here, and after a summer of rest, it's time to get back into the studio, and I could not be prouder of our team. Sam and Lara have spent the break planning new sessions for Local Motion and Mature, Alex has been busy getting enrolments ready behind the scenes, and our brilliant freelance tutors Jamie, Marina and Chris are all set to welcome everyone back with open arms. This season, we welcome our new member Jodi to the MCD team along with our student leaders - Thandiwe, Dionne and Chloe who will be supporting different classes. Year after year, this amazing team still show up with the same passion that started Motion Control Dance back in the day, and that means everything to me. We cannot wait to see all our members walk back through the doors of the YMCA Hub, from our youngest Tiptoe dancers right through to our Mature and Tai Chi groups, ready for another season of movement, friendship and belonging. Here's to a fantastic year ahead 💃🕺❤️

A heartfelt thank you to the wonderful for gifting me the most incredible weekend at The Dreaming Retreat 🌿 Immersing myself in nature and the beautiful surroundings of the mansion gave me the space to detach from the world properly and just breathe for a few days, surrounded by a group of truly amazing women 💛 It was such an enlightening experience and the perfect way to close out the summer. Forever grateful for this gift and for the friendships that were formed this weekend 🙏

Motion Control Dance is closing out the summer with one more workshop and this one is a bit different, Southern Soul Line Dancing with Emma at the MCD studio on Thursday 27th at 6pm, open to over 16s who fancy trying something new 💃 Think easy patterns, feel good music, and a room full of people moving together with no pressure to get it perfect, whether you have danced with us for years or you are walking through our doors for the very first time this one is built for you to relax, laugh, and leave with a new set of steps in your back pocket 🌟 Spaces are limited so please book early, we would love to see some familiar faces and some new ones on the floor ❤️.
