On this - sharing some super photos of our lovely dancers in action on a warm Friday evening last week 🌤️

More breaks and chats than usual to cool off and enjoyed rehearsing and choreographing together the final 32 bars of our Showcase performance !

Remembering how little and young they were when their tiny feet walked through the door and some were that young they couldn’t even walk !
Seeing the confidence they've gained along the way is truly inspiring ✨

What a lovely Saturday morning spent with our little ballerinas in our Magical Ballet class. ✨🩰
As we cooled off and enjoyed time in nature, we admired the wild poppies and watched the birds hopping from bendy branches before disappearing into the bushes.🐦‍⬛

The early morning rain had left the grass too wet for ballet shoes, and I was kindly offered a pair of Crocs—only to be informed they were far too small because they didn't come up to my ankles! I couldn't possibly argue with that logic. 😊

There were whimsical twirls, beautiful balancing and plenty of wand-waving as we sprinkled the morning with magical wishes.🧚

So much fun and learning took place in between those funny little moments… and really, they're the moments that matter most.

Because while the dancing is important, it's often the laughter, imagination and shared moments of joy that leave the most lasting memories." 💕

✨ Our Little Blossoms and Buddies had a magical time yesterday! ✨

We took our cuddly friends out of their special box, on a train 🚂 ride and tucked them in with cosy blankets, twinkling stars, and magical wands. 🐻⭐🪄

The children loved caring for their cuddly companions, joining in with the story, and using their imaginations as they danced and learned together.

Little Blossoms and Buddies is our parent and child group for children from walking age. It's a wonderful opportunity to dance, explore, learn, and make new friends in a warm and welcoming environment.

If you are interested in joining us, please get in touch – we'd love to hear from you! 💛

A big thank you to Matilda, who has been on holiday this week with her family, for bringing back some lovely treats from Cadbury World! 🍫😊
The girls were delighted and thoroughly enjoyed their chocolate surprise. Thank you for thinking of us, it was such a kind gesture! ❤️

A warm Friday evening and a cool break outside for our Elevate Foundations Class after a rhythmic tap warm up and then barre work🩰

We continued rehearsing our Showcase routine for GlastonBarry🎪and in this present heat, cold drinks are always available should any dancer forget their water bottle and to ensure everyone is kept cool more breaks will be taken and classes adapted accordingly .

It is important that we continue practising our routine for GlastonBarry as it’s only 5 weeks before we take to the stage and we want everyone to feel confident and fully prepared .

"We can't wait to see all of our dancers shine on stage 🌟”. Well done everyone 👏

Another Friday… how quickly the weeks go by, and how much can happen behind closed doors in just one week.

This week has reminded us that life can change in an instant. As a dance family, we have been deeply affected by seeing one of our own facing unimaginable circumstances, and we are still coming to terms with the shock.

We want everyone who may be experiencing difficult times to know that you are not alone. We hope you find the strength and courage to reach out and remember that we are always here to help in whatever way we can.

Our dance family is incredibly important to us. Since opening our doors in 1981, we have taught and encouraged so many children, got to know countless families, and formed lasting friendships with students and parents alike.

When our school first opened, I admired those established schools that had built such strong relationships within their communities and often wondered if we would ever experience that same sense of support. The reality has gone far beyond anything I could have imagined.

Today, we are privileged to teach a second generation of dancers. We have celebrated engagements, weddings and christenings together, and we have also stood beside one another through times of grief and bereavement. Through every joy and every hardship, our dance family has continued to offer the extra support that is so often needed.

To say we are one of a kind may sound bold, but it truly reflects our philosophy. We care, we nurture, we support unconditionally, and we are always here for our dance family.

We thank you for trusting us with your children. No two classes are the same, and no two children are the same. Every child deserves the very best of individual care, encouragement and attention to their needs, and this is something we give with the utmost passion, dedication and love.

As another week passes let this be a reminder that dancing is about so much more than steps and performances. It is about belonging. It is about lifting one another up when life becomes difficult and celebrating together when life brings joy.

Thank you for being part of our story, for supporting one another, and for making our dance school the family it has become. Whatever the future brings, our doors, our hearts and our support will always remain open. 💕

Having a wild and wonderful time in our Jungle-themed class last Saturday, our little ballerinas danced with energy, enthusiasm, and excitement! 🤗

Stomping like elephants 🐘 leaping like lions 🦁 and tiptoeing tall like graceful giraffes 🦒our jungle adventure encouraged creativity, imagination, and emotional expression.

Through playful movement, children naturally develop core strength, rhythm, balance, and coordination while building confidence and having fun.😊

In our Closing Moments™, we captured the joy with a special class photo – animal friends included! 🐉🦓

You will look at these photos and think ‘oh they’re lovely’ but one of them tells a significant story -

When a parent asked her child ‘why don’t you try and make friends’ her answer was ‘ “I don't think they'll be interested in what I've got to say," and would sit on her own rather than join in a conversation.

Looking at these photos reminds me ..
there are the moments when we as dance teachers do so much more than teach steps.

Dance teaches technique, discipline and performance skills, but it also gives children something even more precious: a place to belong. It creates friendships, builds confidence and reminds children that they are seen, valued and worthy of connection.

Sometimes the quietest children simply need time, patience and a place where they feel safe enough to be themselves.

So, to any parent whose child finds friendships difficult or prefers to stand quietly on the edge of the group, please don't lose hope. Sometimes these breakthroughs take time. Sometimes years. But when they come, they are nothing short of magical.
