Quick quiz:
What do all these kids bikes have to do with one of the UK's biggest closed-road bike events..?!
It might not seem obvious.
This Saturday was one of our busiest days of the year, and that was thanks to many visitors here for the Etape Caledonia.
The riders & supporters used our mechanic service, bought merchandise, hired Ebikes, and purchased spares. We pointed them to local cafes & shops.

Thanks to busy days like this, it means we can:
- Offer local kids free bike swaps when they get bigger
- Keep our DIY workshop space open
- Offer free bike hire if you're in a pinch
- Refurbish donated bikes for another life
- Offer local employment

We know that many local businesses benefit from a boost that an event like this can give to our area - which in turn keeps our doors open, and serving our local community ðŸĪ

Big bike weekend in Perthshire!
Tomorrow sees the start of the epic Highland Trail 550 race: 550miles, 16000m of self-supported mountain bike racing through the most incredible highland landscapes.
We'll be dot-watching for who got a final warmup around our local Aberfeldy trails ahead of the event!
The HT550 passes through the upper reaches of Glen Lyon in the morning before climbing over to Loch Rannoch - and we recommend as the perfect place to grab a coffee and watch the racers fly past ☕

Take an eBike, go north over Wade's Bridge and follow the road west.
Stop in at - for a coffee and all the fabrics you could ever want!
Round trip: 18km, around 50 minutes cycling time.
