Go Swim

We aim to provide swimmers with challenging, enjoyable, safe and professionally organised swim events

27/10/2026

Our water safety team - Borders Water Rescue Team - play a vital role at every Go Swim event, helping to ensure our swimmers can enjoy their experience safely and with confidence.

We couldn’t do it without their hard work, dedication and watchful eyes out on the water. They were such a great support to us especially at Loch Morlich when we had a difficult decision to make regarding the conditions and keeping everyone safe.

We look forward to working with them again next year, hopefully under better conditions!

Only 2 weeks to until our special event at the The Birks Cinema Aberfeldy in aid of SAMH!

We're looking forward to a special screening of Don't Be Prey, an incredible tale of human resilience, along with a Question and Answer Session from Colleen Blair MBE. Colleen was a fascinating speaker at one of our Evening of Adventures nights, with tales of long distance swims. Her most notable swim is that she is the only person to have swum the north Minch between the Isle of Lewis and the mainland, a remarkable 44km. Colleen has been inducted into the Marathon Swimming Hall of Fame so she can tell us more about all her adventures.

With all proceeds going to SAMH, it's a fantastic afternoon out in Aberfeldy on Sunday 8th November. so please join us and get your ticket today!

2026 was the first year of having SAMH as our charity partner. We've enjoyed working with them to raise awareness and funds for their mission - improving the mental health of Scotland.

We're absolutely delighted to announce that the overall fundraising total for our amazing swimmers is just under £16,000! 🥳

So a huge thank you to all those swimmers who have joined us, swimming on behalf of SAMH. We think you have done an amazing job with your swimming and your fundraising. 👏

2027 - it's coming up fast!

We are working hard on securing the dates for next year. However, we have to let you know that the swims may not necessarily fall on the same weekends as previous years. We are trying to secure suitable dates but some factors are beyond our control. Please do not make any travel or accommodation plans until we can announce the dates.

Thanks for bearing with us while we sort out the aftermath of the the cancellation at Go Swim Loch Morlich.

We are working through over 600 entries and making sure no-one gets missed. We'll be honest and say that the refunds are taking longer than expected because there were a lot of duplications and details that needed untangling.

We are almost finished all the refunds and once they are complete, we will send an email to everyone to confirm that they have been done. It takes up to 10 working days for the money to then be refunded through the system.

If you opted to defer your entry, we will send you an email to confirm next steps once the entries open for next year. It should be very soon!

Huge thanks to those of you who opted to waive your refund. We hope you will pardon the pun but it goes along way to keeping us afloat and being able to bring the best swim event in Scotland!

Hopefully we will be swimming in smoother waters soon ☺️

One of our most enjoyable jobs here at Go Swim is posting all of the photos from the events and seeing you all enjoy them 😊

We haven't got that pleasure from Loch Morlich this time, although Kenny Girvan Photography was there, all ready to go. He took these ones so we thought we would share them anyway.

Thanks Kenny for all your hard work this year, you captured some great images and happy swimmers!

A little reminder for everyone who had entered Go Swim Loch Morlich.

If you haven’t yet completed the Google Form we sent out by email, this is just a final call to ask you to please send us your response by Friday 25 September.

Once the deadline has passed, we’ll start processing the refund requests and will keep you updated as these are completed.

We’re also working on plans for 2027, which we’re aiming to have finalised by the beginning of November. We’ll share an update with you then.

Thank you again for your understanding, patience and continued support of Go Swim. We have had some lovely comments from you on the emails and we appreciate them all. 🥰
