Take My Hand: A Yiddish Tantshoyz - Dance Workshop & Party

Join us for an evening of dance, music, and shared celebration. Guided by internationally renowned instructor Avia Moore, participants are introduced to traditional Yiddish dances in a relaxed and welcoming environment.

Live klezmer music will keep the energy flowing, performed by true gems of Winnipeg’s music scene: Myron Schultz, Myron Kurjewicz, and Daniel Koulack. As the evening moves between learning and social dance. Circles form, rhythms build, and the room comes alive. And yes, refreshments will be served!

This inclusive, energetic dance party is just one highlight of our week-long, "Put A Yid On It! Festival of New Yiddish Culture. Food, music, dance, and more - all happening from June 7 - 13.

The True Story of Tamara de Lempicka & The Art of Survival

By exploring her journey through a Jewish lens, the film not only celebrates her remarkable artistic achievements but also acknowledges the resilience she demonstrated in the face of antisemitism, and societal challenges. A film that brings a new understanding and deeper cultural and historical context to one of the 20th centuries most prominent artists.
