Strength is the foundation. We get our athletes strong AF to improve their force output and and set the stage for improving their explosive power.

SKILL ASSESSMENT
Everything we do is to make you a more powerful athlete. Power isn’t just moving heavy weights fast.
Training for power lies on a spectrum known as the Force Velocity Curve.
Each part of this curve will provide a different stimulus and adaption on the body to make you a truly powerful and explosive athlete.

MOBILITY/STABILITY/COORDINATION
Unlock the trifecta of athletic excellence. Often overlooked, these elements are crucial for peak performance and career longevity and durability throughout your season.

AGILITY
Being agile comes down to being able to decelerate, having good body control, footwork, and decision making before reaccelerating into position and thats exactly how we train to improve our agility and lateral quickness

SPEED
Improving top speed and acceleration are the keys to becoming a fast athlete.

CONDITIONING
As explosive athletes you need to be able to be powerful at a moments notice and do so over and over again without getting fatigued. We do this by training our 3 energy systems for both improving capacity and repeat power ability.

AFFIRM is excited to share that we’ll be welcoming a new Pilates studio to our space—Alexis, founder of Principled Pilates will be opening this summer! 

Alexis brings years of experience in teaching Pilates and is fully certified in all Pilates apparatus. With a background in personal training and group fitness as well as Pilates, her approach is thoughtful, well-rounded, and focused on helping clients build strength, mobility, and confidence in their bodies.

Classes and privates will start in July. Alexis  will be offering small-group reformer classes using a 4-reformer station setup, allowing for a more personalized and attentive experience. Her teaching style is grounded, supportive, and adaptable to a range of levels—from those newer to Pilates to more experienced clients looking to deepen their practice.

We’re really happy to have Alexis join us and bring Principled Pilates into our community. If you’re looking for focused, high-quality reformer sessions in a welcoming environment, these classes will be a great fit. If you are new to Pilates, Alexis will be offering foundation classes to gain knowledge and feel comfortable with the reformer. If you have experience and want to progress into the more advanced exercises she will safely guide you to the more challenging repertoire.
