đ¨Long Season Incomingđ¨
The off-season work gets you to the season.
The in-season work keeps you there.
You spent months building strength, power, speed, stability and durability. Once the season starts, the goal shouldnât be to stop trainingâitâs to maintain those qualities while managing the demands of your sport.
And that includes your core strength.
Your core plays a major role in how you transfer force, control your body, produce power and absorb force. As the season gets longer and fatigue starts to accumulate, maintaining that strength becomes even more important.
The goal is to reach the end of the season still performing at a high levelânot trying to survive the final stretch because you stopped training and let everything you built in the off-season fade.
These are 7 core exercises you can continue using throughout a long season to keep building and maintaining your foundation.
Donât stop training. Adjust the training.
Keep stacking days. đ
