Greetings from the Academie Ste-Cecile International School (ASCIS) Prep Basketball Team! On behalf of Head Coach Mark Ambers and our Athletic Director Robb Serviss, we would like to invite you to learn about our school and consider joining the Stallions in their inaugural year in the OSBA.
ASCIS is a private school in Windsor, Ontario, Canada that prides itself in its rigorous academic program and, in recent years, has ventured to establish itself as a premier athletic school offering Prep Hockey (member of the MPHL), Prep Basketball (member of OSBA), Soccer Skills Academy and Prep Volleyball. ASCIS provides a challenging and comprehensive education encouraging our diverse student body to be responsible, productive and ethical citizens while emphasizing the skills to think creatively, reason critically, communicate effectively and respect people of all cultures and ethnicities.
ASCIS is also a boarding school where students from abroad can have the structure, discipline, motivation, and nurturing to make them feel right at home. Being a part of the Prep Basketball team would mean daily practices starting at 07:00, nutrition guidance, team workouts, endurance training, video analysis of recorded games, and access to physical therapy.
In addition to the scheduled games with the OSBA, the Prep Basketball team plans to take advantage of being a border city to the USA by competing with the top talent in Michigan, Ohio, New York, Indiana, Illinois, and surrounding states. Students will have gainful experience from playing in American tournaments as well as some potential exposure to scouts and college recruiters. Where obtaining a US student visa might be more difficult, you could have the opportunity to study in Canada yet still have access to American basketball.
