repetition strengthens our neural pathways, slowly turning actions into automatic habits. every time we repeat a movement or a thought these pathways grow stronger.
on the other hand, new experiences build ~ new ~ pathways. stepping out of our comfort zone, discovering something foreign, this is what allows the brain to grow.
yoga is one of the few habits that does both. regular practice builds new neural connections and changes our physical brain structure all while strengthening our existing pathways used for emotional control, body awareness, and focus.
each pose, each breath, and each moment where you hold still, push further or soften is building on the last.
the repetition is not repetition at all, it's a new opportunity for your mind-body connection to soar.
