True North Senior Women

True North Senior Women Toronto's world-class dragon boat team for women 39+ years of age. A competitive team of high performance female athletes committed to competing.

True North Senior Women practice on-water from late April until the end of September, using both dragon boats and outrigger canoes to develop strength and technical skills. Training early mornings on Tuesday, Thursday and Friday is an opportunity to witness the glorious sunrise on Lake Ontario. The crew, composed of fit, competitive women 39+ under the guidance of Coach Chris Edwards, have earned

medals in local festivals as well as Canadian Nationals and the Club Crew World Championships. Team members are expected to maintain a high level of fitness by following all aspects of the weight training, running and practice programs. Regular weight and pool training sessions are conducted in the off-season. If you are looking to take your dragonboat training to the next level, send us an email and we'll give you the details!
