1️⃣ Integral Hockey Winnipeg started because of a broken hockey stick. When his oldest son broke his first stick, he began researching repair options and discovered Integral Hockey. After becoming a customer himself, he eventually purchased the Manitoba territory.

2️⃣ He services Winnipeg and much of the surrounding area, extending north and west all the way to the Saskatchewan border.

3️⃣ The best part of the job? Hearing from players at the rink who tell him their repaired stick feels great and is back performing exactly how they hoped.

4️⃣ His favourite repairs are toe and heel rebuilds. They're some of the most challenging repairs, but the finished results are incredibly satisfying.

5️⃣ One of the most rewarding repairs is rebuilding a blade that's lost its entire toe after getting caught in the boards. Taking something that damaged and bringing it back to life never gets old.

6️⃣ When he's not repairing hockey sticks, you'll find him cooking, fishing, ice fishing, golfing, or spending time with family and friends.

7️⃣ His dad taught him how to skate at local outdoor rinks growing up, creating memories that helped shape his love for the game.

8️⃣ His favourite player growing up was Peter Forsberg, one of the most skilled and competitive players of his generation.

9️⃣ His advice to young players: Never lose sight of your goals. If you're willing to put in the work, success will follow.

🔟 And one more piece of hockey wisdom: Shoot pucks every day. Few things will improve your shot faster than consistent practice outside of team ice time.

Most people never think about what happens to a hockey stick after it's thrown away.

The reality is that carbon fibre doesn't ever break down in a natural environment.

Once it ends up in a landfill, it's likely going to be there forever.
