Meet Coach Steph!! ✨
I started CrossFit in 2012. Prior to this I had an extensive background in physical training. I’m not sure what it was but I’ve always had an interest in training- lifting weights specifically. I remember doing bicep curls with a boom box and press-ups nightly at around 8 years old, by 11 y/o I’d upgraded to dumbbells and a bench which I bought with my birthday money, much to my mothers dismay.
It’s probably shorter to list the sports I haven’t tried in my life. Finding CrossFit was inevitable.
With CrossFit I was hooked from the start, it was equally fun and challenging from day 1. I also loved the methodology that was presented. It was like “we’re going to make you better in every element of fitness and we’re going to measure and record it to prove we did.” That’s the part I try to get people excited about when I coach. It’s not just telling you what to do. It’s showing you how it works and letting you see and feel the evidence in your daily training. And you get to have fun while you do it! What’s not like? It’s hard but that’s why we do it together 💪
I ran a CrossFit Gym in Scotland for 4 years. I have my CF-OL-1 trainer certificate and powerlifting, football, mobility and strongman certificates. I competed at the European Regionals from 2013-2018, placing 13th in Europe in 2018. Competing in Strongwoman, I was Scotlands Strongest Woman U63kg a couple of times.
