THE 2026/27 SEASON IS ALMOST HERE!

Registration opens August 31 at nanaimoboxingclub.ca and classes begin September 1.

We’re excited to welcome everyone back for another season of Junior, Youth, Intermediate, Competitive and Adult boxing at Nanaimo Boxing Club. Check out our 2026/27 schedule + membership rates below 👇🏽

You’ll also notice a little upgrade when you come back, new flooring is going in! To help us take care of the space, we’re asking everyone to bring indoor training shoes when possible, or do your best to make sure your training shoes are clean before hitting the gym floor.

You’ll also see a 10% adjustment to our membership rates this season. Last year our building was sold and our rent nearly tripled. We really fought with the idea of raising our rates, but ultimately needed to make a small adjustment to support the sustainability of the gym.

We can’t wait to have everyone back. Another big season starts soon.

SUMMER BOXING CAMP REGISTRATION IS NOW OPEN🥊

This summer we’re excited to welcome Ellie Pye to Nanaimo Boxing Club!

Ellie is one of Canada’s rising boxing stars, with titles across Canada and the United States. Known for her strong fundamentals, technical skill, and exciting style, Ellie will be leading our Summer Boxing Camps throughout July and August.

🥊 Youth Camp (Ages 10-14)
📅 Mon, Wed, Fri | 4:15-5:15 PM
⚠️ ONLY 12 SPOTS AVAILABLE EACH MONTH

🥊 Adult Camp (18+)
📅 Mon, Wed, Fri | 5:30-7:00 PM
⚠️ ONLY 20 SPOTS AVAILABLE EACH MONTH

Registration is by month:
July Camp (July 6-31)
August Camp (August 3-28)

Please note that July and August are registered separately. If you would like to attend both months, you must register for both camps.

Our youth age ranges are guidelines. If your athlete falls slightly outside the listed ages (for example, a mature 9-year-old or youth just outside the age range), please reach out to discuss placement at [email protected]

These camps will be the ONLY coached group programs running throughout the summer. Once camps are full, they are full.

The only other training options available this summer will be:
Open Gym
Private Training
Small Group Training

Whether you’re brand new to boxing or looking to sharpen your skills, this is an incredible opportunity to train with an accomplished athlete and coach in a fun, supportive environment.

WE ARE BACK🥊

After taking a pause last year, we're thrilled to announce that the Indigenous Youth Boxing Training Camp is returning this summer!

From August 28–30, Indigenous youth from across British Columbia will come together on Snuneymuxw Territory (Nanaimo, BC) for a weekend of boxing, movement, culture, community, and connection.

Whether you've never put on a pair of gloves or you've already stepped into the ring, everyone is welcome. No boxing experience is required.

Indigenous youth ages 13–18
Open to BC residents
No cost to participants
Food, accommodations, and camp activities included

There are only 20 spots available, and registration opens THIS Saturday, July 25. Mark your calendars!

BOXING MEDICALS ARE COMING TO NANAIMO BOXING CLUB!

This is a rare opportunity you won't want to miss!

One of the most common questions we get is, "How do I find a doctor to complete my boxing medical?" The truth is, it's become one of the biggest barriers for athletes looking to spar and compete. Walk-in clinics generally won't do them, many family doctors don't offer them, and they can be expensive.

We've got you covered.

Saturday, August 8
Starting at 12:00 PM
$50 per medical

Time blocks (8 per hour):
12pm, 1pm, 2pm, 3pm, 4pm, 5pm (if needed)

Even if you're unsure about sparring this upcoming season, get your medical done now! It's much easier to have it completed before you need it than to scramble later when opportunities arise.

A huge thanks and we love you to Coach Jessica!

As we wrap up another season at Nanaimo Boxing Club, we want to take a moment to recognize Coach Jessica for everything she’s brought to our Bootcamp community this past year.

Week after week, Jessica showed up with energy, encouragement, and a genuine passion for boxing, this gym, and her group!! We couldn’t have asked for more.

A big thank you as well to everyone who showed up for Bootcamp this season. We hope to continue building on the strong community and foundation built.

While Jessica won’t be returning as our regular Bootcamp coach next season, we’re grateful for everything she’s contributed to NBC. This isn’t goodbye because we’re hoping to still see Jess around the gym, and you might also see her from time to time to sub classes when schedules align.

Thank you Coach Jess for everything you’ve given to our community this past season. We appreciate you more than you know♥️🥊

Another season in the books!!!

What a year.

Thank you to every member, parent, athlete, coach, volunteer, and supporter who walked through our doors this season.

Thank you for trusting us with your goals, your growth, your kids, and your journey.

While our regular season programming has wrapped up, the gym isn’t slowing down.

As of July 1st, all regular season memberships have concluded and any remaining balances on class packs or passes have been automatically converted into account credits that can be used toward summer programming or fall registration.

Ellie Pye is an up and coming boxing star. She started her boxing journey at 15 years old. Under Le Stage Boxing, Ellie started taking boxing to the next level. She became known for her accurate, hard-punching style backed by solid fundamentals. Ellie has competed and won titles across Canada and the United States.
