☝🏼 One last post to wrap up our thank yous for the weekend! 📣
👏🏼 We put out a call for volunteers and the community of Gander delivered! We had students of Gander Collegiate and adults from the community volunteer…
⭐️ they manned the hydration and energy station (seen in the picture) at one of the course junctions
⭐️ they worked as spotters on some of the holes with blind corners and helped the players keep track of their discs
⭐️ they helped at the check-in table for registering players for their rounds
⭐️ and they covered the chalet where sales of all kinds of disc golf goodies were happening!
🥏 If you were one of our volunteers know we SO appreciate you! There was lots of praise from the players about how the volunteers positively impacted their tournament experience!

🙏🏼 We also want to thank Disc Golf NL for organizing the annual tour and helping ensure we, as new provincial hosts, had everything necessary lined up to host provincials! This also includes members of the various clubs across NL—everyone has been such a great help!
🙌🏼 Lastly, but not least, we always have to give a shout out to the Airport Nordic Ski Club! The Gander Nordic Disc Golf Course wouldn’t exist as it is today without your partnership, and the chalet is a huge bonus to have on site when we don’t know what to expect with NL weather!
