I dreamed of running a 100 miles in a race ever since the first time I found myself on the trail running.

It takes a team, not just an ordinary one but an extraordinary group of people who love you and care about your goal.

It was the hardest thing I have ever experienced but the most beautiful adventure that I have ever travelled.

Congratulations to every runner who showed up, to the amazing volunteers, and Mark Didham & Derrick Roul for creating this incredible event!

We are thrilled to share that 5 FREE Relay Team registrations are being given away for this year’s Joy Run 50 happening August 1!

A heartfelt thank you to our longtime participants and Erin Dancey owners of Vida Nova Recovery. Built from a place of love and a deep desire to give back to the community, they have generously gifted these relay entries to help more people experience the joy of this event.

160km this week is my version of free therapy.

Running doesn’t erase the hard days, but it gives me space to face them. It reminds me that I can keep going, even when things feel heavy.

May is Mental Health Month and it matters deeply to me because the struggle is real, and so is the strength it takes to keep showing up. Not everyone has the same outlet, but everyone deserves support, understanding, and the reminder that they’re not alone.

Take the walk. Have the conversation. Ask for help. Offer it.

Forever in my heart, my brother Jody who suffered in silence and died by su***de in 2019.

“Little Thing, BiG Joy”.

A contest by Hit 99.1. I heard on the radio driving to work one morning. Peoples answers made me smile and really reflect on the whole hearted things that bring us joy but often take for granted!

One of my “little thing” that brings me “BIG Joy” is hanging out with Kai ! We just finished a beautiful hike on the East Coast Trail .

5th Annual Joy Run brought together a group of runners who were inspired and motivated to come back from a postponed race in August to November 15. From the first runner to the last a beautiful chapter was written and we have so many stories to share.

This will be my fifth year running the on October 25th and each year this race has given me something powerful.

I picked up my bib early this time, as I contemplated not participating this year. Feeling the weight of reflection and the raw truth that this year has brought its share of challenges especially with my health. I’m still waiting on biopsy results, and the unknown is never easy.

This year, I’ll run with hope for answers, for healing, for strength.

I’ll run with gratitude for my body, for the journey, and for every step I’m still able to take.

And I’ll run with love for this trail, this tradition, and the version of myself that keeps showing up.
