Well what can I say......what a great group of athletes who gave us a fantastic 3 days of competition. We added 2 more medals today with Rachel Hiscock getting bronze in the 400m and the girls relay (Myah Banfield, Sarah Vivian, Chelsea Legge, Rachel Hiscock) getting silver. That's a total of 19 medals and the girls team finished 2nd in overall points with 370. Chelsea Legge was impressing us with her running results for a first time runner but waited till the very end to get her medal. Brady Thistle finished 5th in the 3000 and showed sprint speed he never knew he had. Ram Nassif and Noah Blake pushed their relay team to a 5th place finish. Ethan Stuckless showed extreme endurance by running the 400m, the 3000m, and the 4x100m Relay all in a little over an hour. 👏👏👏 Amazing job Team Central Athletics!!!!!!!! GO TEAM CENTRAL!!!!!!!!!! What a great day 2 for Central Athletics. Great running, throwing, and jumping by everyone. We even got to watch our medley teams grit it out after a long day of competition. 11 medals today. Myah Banfield (Gold in 100m hurdles, Gold in high jump), Sarah Vivian (Bronze in 100m hurdles and High jump), Rae Gosse ( Gold in discus, and shot put), Addison Ash (Silver in discus and Bronze in Shot put), Paul Nichol-Burt (Gold in 100m), Rachel Hiscock (Bronze in 100m), and Isaac Gillingham (Silver in 100m). A big shout out to Brady Thistle who finished 4th in long jump in his very first competition. This is a great group of athletes who have been giving their all. It all finishes up tomorrow. Day 1 is in the books and it was a great day for Team Central. We had some first time track participants who did fantastic in their races👏👊. And we came away with 6 medals!!!!!!!🥳🥳🥳
Rachel Hiscock (Bronze in the 200m), Isaac Gillingham (Silver in the 200m), Rae Gosse (Gold in Javelin), Addison Ash (Bronze in Javelin), and Paul Nichol-Burt (Gold in the Standing Long Jump and 200m).
