World Sexual Health Day 🩷💙
Good s*xual connection is often rooted in emotional and psychological safety.
Feeling respected. Feeling heard. Feeling able to express needs without shame. Feeling connected outside of the bedroom.
For many couples, intimacy becomes more difficult when resentment, unresolved conflict, stress or emotional distance begins to build.
Physical changes can matter too; menopause and andropause can affect desire, comfort, confidence and s*xual connection, sometimes adding another layer to an already sensitive topic.
Sexual health is about more than s*x. 🌸
It is also about trust, communication, consent, boundaries, emotional safety, vulnerability and connection.
On World Sexual Health Day, September 4, we’re highlighting the importance of creating relationships where intimacy can feel safe, mutual and connected.
If this part of your relationship has become difficult to talk about, couples therapy can offer a private, respectful and discreet space to explore what may be getting in the way.
