Pilates in the mid-20th century and was initially used as a form of strengthening rehabilitation. Pilates is now known as an intelligent form of exercise that can benefit everyone. Pilates can improve core strength, stability, posture, balance and flexibility; increase mind-body awareness; reduce stress and back pain; and prevent injury. nstructor in Matwork. I completed my instrcutor certification nearly 1 year ago, but started my Pilates journey 6 plus years ago after a reoccurring ankle injury reduced my fitness options. After receiving excellent physical therapy and chiropractic treatment sessions, I realized I also needed to incorporate a long term fitness solution. I had heard of Pilates and its benefits, but had never tried it. Once I started taking regular classes, I felt the benefits and eventually, Pilates became an active hobby that is now also a labour of love. I offer private, semi-private (2 people), and small group (3-4 people) mobile Pilates classes. That is correct, I bring Pilates to you! If semi-private, or small group classes are your preference, you choose your workout mates. I am available to teach in the early evenings and on the weekends.
