We’ve got a weekend jammed packed with flyball again this weekend, and we haven’t even celebrated our last comp yet! 🫣 A fortnight ago we trained and raced at the Bayside Flyball Racing Inc. training day and comp. A big thank you to all of the organisers and officials!

Our baby dogs trained on Saturday at the training day and all did amazing. You might see a couple of them in the lanes towards the end of the year. 👀

At the comp on Sunday we switched up our teams a little. We’re a reasonable sized club but actually we have fewer humans and just lots of dogs each! 🤪 Our new combos worked well and will keep building in the next few comps. 😎 Our open team ripped it a little too hard down the lanes and had a major break out! We were in good company though with many other teams breaking out too. The dogs still have fun regardless of where we place in the div. 🫶🏼

We were so busy celebrating our retirees that we haven’t celebrated this milestone yet. 🏆 Also at our Flyball of the Field competition, our newest dog Montana got to her next title. 👏🏼

This girlie has landed on her feet in more ways than one. Previously an escapee, she now resides in luxury with Elaine and John after having been adopted by them. 🧡

Congratulations on your next title Montana and Kym! This is just the start of greater things to come. 🤩

Last weekend we hosted our annual Flyball on the Field event at our home grounds in Rocklea. Despite the rain during the week, the grounds held up amazingly and we were able to compete on grass for the first time this year. ☀️

The day belonged to our two retiring dogs, Monty and Reeva. 💙💛

Monty followed in his big brother Richie’s footstep learning flyball as a tiny puppy. With a career lasting almost 10 years, he’s always been cool, calm and collected in the lanes. He’s retiring to help show little brother Fergus the flyball ropes and enjoy the sunshine. 🫶🏼

Reeva came to flyball later in life after living regionally and excelling in canine disc. She was a quick study and was part of a team in no time. Injury forced her to retire mid last year and now she’s spending her days being fur sister to two small humans. 👯

Aside from celebrating our retirees, THREE of our dogs scored individual dog PBs. Well done to Moose, Montana and Cheddar. 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

Thanks to all the competitors and officials who made the day a special one. Well done too to all of the baby dogs who took to the lanes on Monday at our training day, such a valuable experience for them all. 🤩

We’ll be back in the lanes at the end of the month as we start working towards Nationals in September! 😯
