What a day for the Magpies💚🍾🏏

A huge thank you to everyone who attended our Souths Annual Cricket Lunch, with around 240 people in the room, we were proud to set a new benchmark for attendance and, more importantly, raise an incredible $30,000 for the club🤯

A special thank you to for your support in helping bring the event to life, everything you did on the day and for creating this video!

Jimmy Maher said it best: 🗣️ “This was the best Club Lunch we have ever had.”

That’s something we’re incredibly proud of🙌🏻

This event also would not have happened without the vision, drive and enthusiasm of Mitch Connell from , our major club sponsor. Mitch brought the idea to the committee and played a huge role in making it a reality. We’re very grateful for his leadership and support💪🏻

🏏 SBDCC Presentation Night 2026 🏆

Presentation Night is one of the most important nights on our club calendar, a chance to celebrate both individual and team success across the season.

It is an opportunity to recognise players who excelled in particular skills or match formats, honour teams who achieved ultimate success, and acknowledge those who went above and beyond for our club throughout the year.

We would love to see as many of our SBDCC community there as possible, so please come along and support the club. Partners, families, friends and children are all welcome.

A massive congratulations to our Top 5 wicket takers across Qld Premier Grade, TAVS & U19s for the regular season (men’s and women’s). Relentless spells, big breakthroughs and putting the opposition under pressure, these Magpies have led the charge with the ball 👏

7 SBDCC Players Named in U15 State Challenge 🏏👏

Every now and then it’s important to pause and celebrate a special achievement for the club, and this is certainly one of those moments.

Souths are incredibly proud to have 7 players selected in the Queensland Cricket Under 15 State Challenge, the highest number of representatives our club has ever had in the competition. It’s a fantastic reward for the hard work and commitment these young players continue to show🫶🏼

Congratulations to Renata, Tanisha, Lily, Jiaya, Catey, Kiara and Piper on this incredible achievement. We can’t wait to see you represent the club with pride.

A big shoutout to club president Brendon Gibson for the years of mentoring and coaching many of these girls through our women’s senior program, a lot of time and care has gone into their development 👏

Also a big mention to for their continued work developing young girls and producing outstanding talent and future senior players for the club 🏏

The Challenge will be played between the 7th - 11th April at 🐯
