The 2025/26 V8 Dirt Modifieds Australian National Title winner is Seiton Young! 🏆

🔵How long have you been racing for?
I started racing circuit racing in 2018 at age 15. But I started my speedway career in 2021 in a wingless and then stepped up into dirt modifieds in 2022. So only for 5 and a bit years now.
🟢Favourite track to race on?
Currently it would have to be Toowoomba speedway. Just cause we have been so successful there this pass season but if I had to choose a top 3 it would be: Hi-Tec Oils Toowoomba Speedway, Premier Speedway, Warrnambool and B&S Earthworks Timmis Speedway Mildura.
🟡 Who's the biggest influence on your Speedway career?
Throughout my career there has been so many people who have helped me. My biggest influencers would be my family, my Nan and Pop, my sister and Mum. And many more. If I had to choose one it would have to be my Dad, he got me into racing. His been there through all the ups and downs, and I will forever be appreciative of what he has done for me.
🔵Who were the first people you spoke to after crossing the finish line on title night?
My Crew. They were the only people I wanted to see first after the hard work they put in on that weekend. So to celebrate with them once I seen them was pretty special.
🟢How do you prepare for a race weekend?
Just do the basic stuff really, do the normal car prep and make sure everything is 100%. Make sure trailer is packed and cleaned. Obviously make sure all my race gear is packed.
🟡 What's one piece of advice you'd give people who are new to, or looking to try the sport?
Just start off in something that’s in your budget. Learn to drive in something that is simple and is cheap and easy to fix. Work your way up to where you wanna be and the class you wanna race in.
🔵 Do you have any race-day superstitions?
Umm maybe the good old wear red un**es on race day haha. But I haven’t done that couple times this pass season and not much changed so I guess it’s just if I have luck on your side come race night
🟢What's next?
Just take it as it comes I guess. Never know what might happen or what will pop up so just gonna keep doing what I’m doing and see where it goes.
