Boat design type (MadMax 2) and registration letters and numbers (AUS 2666) inlaid into the deck. Photos show steps involved up to application of a coat of resin before the glass is laid on. The resin application really brings out the colours of the different timbers.

Finished cutting out the veneer letters and number for the boat type and registration no. The black is just the printer paper which will sand off when letters are inset to the deck. Next job is set up the Dremel router to cut into the deck to inlay the letters and numbers.

So disaster struck, I completed the timber work on the hull and started the sanding, unfortunately I got a bit carried away and sanded through in one spot. So that hull was ripped off the building frame and and thrown in the bin. Not good enough and not happy. So I have started again!
