The Werribee Roos have still been celebrating, so we’re a little behind!
Firstly, congratulations to all of the Victorian teams who took part in this year’s Masters Championships. Representing your state is always special, but doing it at home, surrounded by friends and family throughout the week, makes it even more memorable.
We’d also like to congratulate our home venue, Werribee Indoor Sports Centre. It was a fantastic feeling for our players to walk out onto the very courts we pour so much of our time and passion into every week.
A huge congratulations to Andrew Potts and all of the umpires for running a fantastic carnival. Although, Andrew… telling one of our members to turn the music down? You wouldn’t be trying that twice, mate! That only works at Croydon! We still love ya though. Also a huge shout out to Juddy Perkins and Dave Payne on an excellent live-streaming services !!!
A massive congratulations to the Victorian 40s Men, who brought home their second title in as many years — an outstanding achievement! Special congratulations to our current champions Dan Fielding and Lance Macdougall, along with former Werribee boys Matt F**t, Sam F**t and Ben Devanny.
The Victorian 35s also put on an absolute clinic, including rolling Queensland for just 18 runs! Led by our very own Luke Baker, with Michael Yates and Blair Hemmingson also playing key roles throughout a fantastic campaign.
Congratulations to all of the Werribee players, coaches and managers on an outstanding week. You represented both Victoria and our club with pride, and we can’t wait to see you all back wearing the lighter blue soon.
